At Yuan Fatt Bakery, you can get these mooncakes, available in three flavours: Single Yolk Dou Sha Paste, Single Yolk Pandan Paste, and Single Yolk Lotus Paste. And if you're not a fan of yolks, they offer options without them for RM 11/pcs.

What sets their mooncakes apart is their crust. With a crumbly, smooth texture that releases a thick, fragrant, buttery taste with every bite, you have to try it to truly understand. Traditional sponge cake filled with cream that brings you back to the nostalgic days. However, despite its fluffy and airy texture, I found the flavour to be rather subdued. The cream, unfortunately, fell short of expectations, being a bit too heavy, jelak and oily, which was disappointing. If you're visiting Yuan Fatt Bakery, I'd suggest just go for their specialty mooncakes instead, which I'll cover in another post. Trust me, you won't regret it as you might with this cake.

In 3 different flavours : Lotus, Red Bean, Pandan (RM8.50 each or RM25.45/ 3 pieces)
With Single Egg Yolk (RM9.55 each or RM28.60/ 3 pieces)
It's huge, buttery and simply melt in the mouth, when served pipping hot from the oven.
I was surprised by the huge piece of Yolk in the center.

I love these mooncakes. Its not round, and it taste very different from those sold here. Can taste the freshness of them!! So yummy!!
