Thank you Xing Fu Tang for offering lactose free milk as an option for some of your drinks!
The Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk is honestly a delicious treat. It‘a made even better with lactose free milk, which doesn’t change the taste of the drink because it tastes the same as regular cow’s milk with lactose.
I don’t like to add additional sugar into my bubble tea orders and this honestly doesn’t need it. The brown sugar syrup from the pearls is more than enough to flavour the milk and the drink as a whole. It’s a classic combination for bubble tea, simple and satisfying.
This is one of the bubble tea chains that I inevitably end up gravitating towards because they have the option for lactose free milk but also because of their unique drinks. I don’t find it to be an overhyped chain and I like that they do limited edition or series drinks to keep this fresh and interesting.
I literally lose my bet to my own mum for that I didn't expected that 🥲🥲🥲 I treated her bbt in return 😅🤣😂. So I bought hojicha and genmaicha milk tea ($4.50 ea) without matcha boba pearls 🥲🥲🥲 so I am going to rate hojicha for 3.5/5 because I just don't like taste for hojicha plus I order 50 - 60% sugar 🥲😗 and it's quite sweet for me alr 🤔🙃. I just got sipped through genmaicha milk tea 4.5/5 once but its quite much better than hojicha 😏 but my mum drank finish without giving me for last sip 😒 but its quite ok for me bc I haven't drink melon flavour yet 😎 with matcha boba pearls. Let me know which one u all preferred for hojicha, genmaicha and melon 🤔

I opt for Thai Milk Tea Boba which cost an extra $1.20

Overall, I prefer the XFT in Taiwan as compared to their franchise in Singapore. The rose dalgona lacked in taste and came with a sad thin layer of dalgona, but the staff were pretty accommodating when I requested for additional dalgona to be added. The flavour of the Meiji milk was also quite overpowering, in comparison to other milk brands such as farmhouse.
Matcha Boba Milk (Less sugar - 50%) ($5.90) got strong Matcha taste but giving unpleasant greenish aftertaste (Vegetal taste). I guess about the ratio between milk and Matcha was not balanced and milk just ruin Matcha if adding too much milk. The pink pearls were quite chewy but pearls were sticky to each other and hard to eat bubble tea.
