One of the more tedious dishes to make due to the vegetable blended soup base that comes with it. To some, it may be the vege blend soup that's the highlight, but to me, the highlight is the brown rice served with various vegetables and toppings like peanuts and taukwa. Very clean, meatless (take away the ikan bilis) and straightforward meal - a clean meal at a Kopitiam/hawker place. This vege blend included a lot of pepper which spoilt the overall taste. ):

Not regretting ordering char siew noodles over wanton noodles when the hawker asked whether I wanted wanton or not. The char siew slices were quite thick and tender, not overly dry nor oily or fatty. And they were quite generous w the meat slices. Noodles were springy and sauce was not overly salty as well. Overall it was a surprising find!

Light dinner ( not finishing the white rice ) . Sambal not spicy enough.

Never imagine a signature Singapore dish be served up by a Japanese operating this stall at a HDB coffeeshop. Story has it of him giving up his finance background job and left Japan for Singapore. Mastering the art of Mee Pok from the original Ah Hoe himself. I am say I am truly impressed with the flavor and all aspects of this simple dish! Adding a Japanese twist when you stand in line and watch him placing the noodles, toppings like a ramen stall in Japan. This is a must try stall!!! Close every Sunday. Yumminess 4.5/5
