Two Hands is a new stall at 33HV, the coffeeshop beside Holland Village Food Centre. The stall is a partnership that involves the people behind Garçons and a new partner, and the stall sells pasta, ricebowls, snacks and skewers; a little mix of Japanese and Western fare overall.

Going straight for the skewers, I picked the Pork Collar, Chicken & Leek, Duck Tsukune and Marbled Striploin — all of them were pretty good and would really go well with drinks or even rice (there is an option to opt for rice bowls with a minimum option of 3 sticks). It's hard to pick a favourite because they were as good; all pretty savoury with the glazing that gives them ample flavour while the meats were all tender and juicy; especially surprising was the Marbled Striploin which was melt-in-the-mouth and didn't require much chewing. The vegetables such as the leek came really crunchy and with a char, while the tomatoes were soft and gave a burst of sweetness. The Duck Tsukune was something that might be a little subjective though — it's a little saltier than the other sticks mostly due to the inherent saltiness of duck, but the meat itself was tender with moisture of the meat retained, while the minced meat was consistent in texture without any lumpy bits. Nonetheless, the food here is pretty much worth a try in my opinion.
