Finally get to visit J’s Gate Dining at Lot 10. It’s the lastest Japanese concept that brings 18 of Japan Best specialty restaurants under one roof. Since there is so much to pick from, I decided to try on this traditional Kyoto-style dining which features the their high quality Wagyu and a wide range of Obanzai side dish. Ordered the Gorgeous 4 Varities of Wagyu set consists slices of Wagyu steak, breaded Wagyu cutlet, roast beef and bulgogi. I requested for medium rare however, they don’t seems right when they arrived. Albeit the doneness , the Wagyu steak served with black pepper sauce was quite good. Breaded cutlet wasn’t that crispy, roast beef was cold and I’m not sure what sauce should I dipped into since it was quite bland. Probably the Wagyu bulgogi was winner among all four as it was tasty, well marinated and it would be great if they serve more meat that chunks of fats. For this set, it comes with a rice, soup and Obanzai. On the day I came, it was dinner time around 7pm and I was slightly disappointed that a few of their Obanzais are not available. It feels like going to KFC and they told you mashed potato plus coleslaw not available. Overall I would rate this 4 out of 10 and not worth exploring for the price paid. Service 3 points and food 1point. RM135 per set.
