The puff is deep-fried till golden brown perfection and yet it is not too greasy. The pastry is buttery and goes down the throat extremely sinfully delicious. The filling within is also dense and compact.
Too oily for my liking even though taste wise it’s not too bad especially the fish cake
Though much reduced in size (used to contain half an egg) the flavours of Tip Top curry puff is just unique. Glad to see them in OUB Centre basement. Definitely one of the food heritage of Singapore (from the good old days in Ang Mo Kio).
Just as we thought the trend was getting milked out. Tip-top's Salted Egg Chicken Puff is probably the most unique yet under-rated take on the salted-egg. The puff was generously filled with chicken chunks, flavoured with wholesome salted-egg bits and even curry leaves!
