Sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious. But the portion for sushi is quite small. Don is probably more value for money.
The soft shell crab salmon aburi rolls is a simply luxurious treat with the soft shell crab retaining its crunch, and the salmon mentaiko adding a nice finishing touch to it. ($18.90)
Be prepared to queue for about 30 mins for seats here if you're walking in, but the wait is well worth it
for generous and tender Kaisen Chirashi Dons and the Soft-shell Crab Aburi Salmon Roll - their Chirashi is well mastered, with thick slices of Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail, Swordfish. +++, and also lovely, tender pieces of scallop. Fresh without too much traces of fishiness, each slice melts in your mouth. My only gripe was that the bed of rice was slightly too sticky and mushy. ($22.90/$26.90)
I usually come to the sushi bar just for their chirashi don (seriously, this is the bomb, MUST ORDER). But this time, we decided to also order some extra sides to try and this dish was recommended on the menu so we went along with it. One of the better beef cubes Iβve had, maybe cos itβs wagyu, so the meat was a lot more tender and juicy. The sauce was a teriyaki sauce with notes of garlic infused and the crispy garlic chips were an absolute delight. Best to eat this hot though when it first arrives sizzling on your pan...!! π
One of the few places where you can get aburi chirashi don that comes with whole (not cubed) aburi sashimi slices, and isnβt covered with mentaiko sauce. The aburi sashimi slices are marvellously thick, fresh and tender. Itβs one of my favourite indulgences!
Thick slices of fish that melt in your mouth. Personally love the seared salmon. Consider this affordable given the generosity of sashimi slices π
