Chanced upon this little food court in one quiet corner of Punggol.
218 Centre Hokkien Mee
Brilliant wet type Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodles.
Two fresh large prawns and not the half cut baby prawns.
Excellent spicy chilli with slight sour after taste.
Reasonable $4 for a good plate.
Try it out if in the area. #218centrehokkienmee
Recommended by another Burppler. I was craving for Hokkien mee and so I made a cycling trip to the new estate. Got the $6 option and it was huge. Wok hei is there and it was right on starchiness. It is not as flavorful as the famous one in Geylang but this is definitely much better than your regular neighborhood Hokkien mee.
Situated in the food court across Blk 259A Punggol Field, this plate of hokkien mee is the best I've had yet. My ideal hokkien mee is one that is extremely fragrant and on the more soupy side of things. This exactly fits the bill in my opinion. Prices range from $4-$6 but if you get it at $6, not only will you get a large portion but it will also be served in an Opah leaf! 😋
