Starbucks (Cintech IV)

Another seasonal item on the Starbucks menu just launched yesterday. A Grande goes for $9.10, but thanks to the Foodpanda promotion, we got it for 50% off at $4.55. I don’t think this drink has ever come to Singapore before. The Yuzu Honey Jelly Yoghurt Frappuccino is a blend of tangy yogurt, Yuzu Honey sauce, milk and ice with citrusy Yuzu jelly and Yuzu Honey sauce.

Sounds good?

To be honest, it did. And it’s a pretty drink with its pastel yellow hues and layers. But one sip into this and I pretty much recoiled from the sweetness. There’s no tang in the yogurt at all, and everything else in the mixture just adds more sugar to the drink. It’s a pity though, because the Yuzu jelly was quite nice but I couldn’t taste much of it because my tastebuds were overwhelmed by the rest of the drink. You might like it if you’re a sugar addict, but I personally wouldn’t order this again unless I dropped the sugar level to 0.1% or something.

The Chocolate Black Tea with Earl Grey Jelly makes its appearance in the Starbucks menu again! This time it’s available as a Frappuccino, or a hot or iced drink.

I went with the iced version as I wanted the earl grey jelly that the hot version lacks. The chocolate black tea comes with milk, vanilla syrup and earl grey jelly with some cocoa powder sprinkled on top. A Venti sized cup goes for $9.50, but thanks to the Foodpanda promo, I only paid half price for this ($4.75) so it was very worth it!

I’ve tried this in previous years and enjoyed it very much, especially on days that I don’t feel like drinking coffee. The Chocolate Black Tea actually tastes very much like chocolate milk, with a slight hint of tea. I did request for only 1 pump of syrup, and the sweetness was just right for me. Love the earl grey jelly, which isn’t too bitter or sweet, although you can’t really taste the earl grey in it. Originally ordered a Venti intending to share with my colleague, and was worried that I couldn’t finish it on my own but I ended up finishing the whole cup without a problem cos each sip was addictive!

Overall, I love this seasonal drink and will probably be back to have it again (probably more worth it to redeem Stars for this since $9.50 is quite expensive for one drink) before it’s taken off the menu!

Packed with delightful lychee, apricot and cranberry bits, topped with white chocolate 🍫 flowers 🌸 and a dash of dried rose 🌹 petals.

Can’t taste the black sesame in it. Instead it was red bean with slight of sea salt.

Shiok-ah-ccino Pom Pink Pink Frappuccino Blended Beverage (S$9.60/ venti)
Smooth brown sugar jelly, fluffy whipped cream, and a super shiok blend of coconut 🥥 rose 🌹 sauce, milk 🥛 and ice are finished off with more fluffy whipped cream and a drizzle of coconut 🥥 rose 🌹 sauce.

Not sure 🤔 why but it made one felt like drinking Bandung Cincau (Rose syrup evaporated milk 🥛 drink with Grass jelly).

Butterfly 🦋 Pea Lemonade Cold Brew (S$8/ venti)
Lemonade was added to butterfly 🦋 pea, before being topping off with cold brew.
Looked like cold brew but tasted like lemonade.
