$28 | Whole yellow croaker stuffed with otah and baked in banana leaf
Exactly like it’s description. Pretty tasty - would recommend to get this 👌🏻
$20 | Authentic Ipoh Curry Mee enhanced with gourmet flavours and topped with poached chicken, char siu, siu yoke, braised pig’s ears, pig’s skin, poached prawns, bean sprouts, mint leaves
The amount of ingredients is what I would expect of a $20 curry mee. A tad too oily for my liking. Overall it’s okay only.
$7.50 | Signature Ipoh-style milk coffee (hot)
Kinda pricey for a cup of coffee, but not too bad with a side of taiyaki (filled w custard)
The hot version tasted sweeter than the cold version, but overall quite fragrant 👌🏻
While we enjoyed the ingredients in this bowl, like the silky smooth Ipoh hor fun, topped with poached chicken, char siu, siu yoke, braised pig's ears and skin, and prawns, we felt the broth did not have that oomph we were looking for! We were told that their dry curry version is actually the more popular choice, so maybe we will go for that when we return.
First time having otah served in this fashion (whole deboned yellow croaker stuffed with housemade Otah, then baked in banana leaf), it was fresh and fragrant!
This was our favourite dish among all we tried! The satay was so juicy and meaty, and paired perfectly with the sweet peanut sauce!
