[London] Ahhh yesā¦the one thing that I was very insistent on trying when I got to London - Shake Shack. This American fast food chain stands out from its competitors by smashing its beef burger patties down on the grill while theyāre cooking. What you get is an uncommon crisp to the patty, which almost crosses the border of redefining a good burger.
Iāve seen mixed reviews for the ShackBurger (Ā£5.40 single, Ā£8.50 double) online, which claim that their burgers are just a āglorified version of McDonaldāsā, but why does that have to mean itās a bad thing, right? The only things Iād nitpick about these were the lack of distinct flavour in the Shack secret sauce and the immoderate price!
In GBP, this would only do slight damage to your wallet. But if youāre like me and you use SGDā¦when you think of it, youāre paying at least $15 for this. And this is just ala carte. Itās crazy! But hey, since itās for the experience, I canāt complain much. I still enjoyed it for what it was worth. (8.1/10)
