Premium Wagyu Beef Shabu Shabu buffet! Didnβt get any pork or chicken this time. ONLY PREMIUM WAGYU BEEF was the way to go! βοΈ You can definitely taste the difference in meat quality as it was much softer.
Soup wise, Scallop Soup (monthly special) was not bad but Tom Yum Miso was slightly sourish and tasted weird. Would not recommend this soup. Thereβs 7 soup bases to choose from and Iβll say Sukiyaki is a safe choice. Our wrong choice of soup did dampened the overall taste. Still, no regrets on dining here!
Also, free flow veg, sauce, drinks and icecream.
Had a great last feast for the year! βΊοΈ

Steamboats are my comfort food for rainy daysπ The beef paste w lotus root from the counter tastes surprisingly similar to the meat filling in xiao long baos!π± The soups turned purple cuz of the purple carrots I tookπ

I like japanese shabu shabu more than chinese hotpot , though some of my fav food only available at chinese hotpot. Shabu has most of the things I like, mushroom1 mushroom2 and mushroom 3. Eggs. Glassnoodle. And unlimited beef. My experience was the wagyu beef for add on is not worthy. :/
If ever at a Shabu Sai buffet, top up (+$1.99) for free flow drinks and soft serve because hell yes if you like milky vanilla ice cream. Do your swirly at the dispenser. My embarrassing determination to get πsprinklies and cornflakes rewarded my tongue. Soft and sweet, cold and crunchy, and mmm... much milky. Worth the one two kids waiting behind π
Because cold days are hotpot days and an all-you-can-eat just makes it better. We refilled our soups, ordered trays upon trays of chicken, beef and pork and mixed a concoction of sauces to go with the platters of fresh ingredients from the counter. The tender meats absorb flavour well, cooking in a swirl. I especially enjoyed the fatty pork mince in the bamboo π Their food is fresh and taste's passable with the right soup bases. It's an affordable solution for massive hunger and protein cravings. We made it just before lunch ended but I guess it takes care of dinner too. Weekday lunch buffets are $14.99+ (per adult) for a 70 mins limit but we overstayed anws because the restaurant wasn't filled ππΌππΌ Oops π
Shabu shabu dinner with my colleagues! π΄
Shabu shabu is always shiok to eat with steamboat. They have a huge range of soups where we chose chicken herbal and pork tonkotsu! The soup standard is not too bad for buffet. And just add $1.99 for free flow drinks and ice cream!! π
