Creative dim sum Chance upon this dim sum place at Amara and how they displace their food is very unique with those plant, tree truck display and even from the food design wise. Really love the food although it is not cheap but is company lunch so I do not feel the pain

Where Can I Get Good Ipoh Kai See Hor Fun in Singapore? Good Ipoh kai see hor fun is hard to come by in Singapore, and after trying Shan Cheng, which we randomly walked in for dinner, we might have found a good version of it here. The silky smooth rice noodles and that orange hue prawn broth are the standouts for this dish, though I would have preferred to have shredded chicken over the chicken strips. The dry handmade noodles and fried platter were decent too, and worth a try if you are around the area.

Always craving for the Ipoh hor fun here😩 My usual order is the DRY CHARSIEW HORFUN ($7.30) which comes with caramelised charsiew, crispy fried tofu skin and silky noodles!

Chilli Ban Mee ($9.20) Tastes good but quite expensive. Just a bowl of ban mee and a bowl of fish balls cost me $9.20 The fish balls is really good. I ordered ice Milo too which cost $2+. Total up to $10+ for a lunch which is out of my budget. Blame myself for not looking at the price first before ordering but never expect the price of a ban mee to be this expensive.

Wagyu Short Redeemed the one-for-one Wagyu Short. Nice. Restaurant is not busy. The chicken soup base feels like collagen, quite tasty too.

Hot plate tofu 16.9++ The tofu was unique, almost half gooey inside, with a Onion and shrimp sauce. It's alright but it wasnt Nearly savoury enough to go with the gooey tofu

Chili oil pig ears 9.9++ This was absolutely delicious. Pig ears in a flavourful chili oil that went well w the mountain of cilantro. It's hard to describe whats so good about each unique chili oil, but this one clearly works well, better than most. Must try, brilliantly conceived

老坛酸菜鱼 This kopitiam is tuck in a quiet part of Holland Drive HDB estate, a well renovated and clean place. The new Sichuan store serves typical Sichuan food that are nice and cheap, like this Sour Fish at $18.

Golden Shoe Ngou Hiang Golden Shoe Ngou Hiang (~$5/pax) . There was a large variety of items to choose from at this ngou hiang stall. My personal favourites are usually the XL size prawn cracker, the pumpkin and water chestnut cake, the cuttlefish fillet and of course the ngou hiang. My benchmark for good ngou hiangs stalls has been set by the standards of Zhong Zhong at Macpherson. In comparison, the prices here are steeper than Zhong Zhong which is situated in a coffeeshop. Furthermore, the items like the pumpkin and waterchestnut cake came in portions half the size of the one available at Zhong Zhong. I was also rather taken aback by the ngou hiang chilli which was served in a palty sauce dish instead of generously in a mini bowl to coat the ngou hiang pieces in.
