a thick cut of steak that was hearty and juicy. no doubt a satisfying, quality steak which one would expect, though not mind-blowing. had it medium rare, which was just nice for a tender and juicy steak. the potatoes and greens accompanied the meat well.

note: think this was part of the august’19 lunch menu!

9/10 🌟

Passionfruit sorbet (sorbet of the day for set lunch $49++)

Sorbet was refreshing and was a good balance of sweet and sour. Went well with berries.

Margaret river angus ribeye (mains for $49++ set lunch)

Comes with salsa Verde, roasted kipfler, garlic cream and tendrils. Ribeye 180g was substantial for a female but may be small for a hungry man. Had it medium rare and it was very juicy and yummy.

Geraldton kingfish (starters for a $49++ set lunch)

Comes with Yarra Valley Salmon Pearls, avocado cream and herb oil. Simple, pretty and tasty.

Wagyu tatare (starters for $49++ set lunch)

Mixed with kimchi, confit yolk, nori and comes with toasted brioche. Was yummy though thought the tatare could be slightly saltier.

Weekend brunch with a view. A great selection from the menu - ranging from small, larger to larger plates (good for sharing).

The ribeye steak platter came with all the other sides that were more than sufficient for 2. Value for money, great location, great service.

Had a nice surprise birthday lunch with my bf at Salt Grill & Sky Bar, where we ordered the set lunch - the highlight was the salmon, which was a nice balance of sweet and salty. The staff also gave amazing service, and the view from the restaurant of Singapore city was very memorable as well. Worth the experience!

Although appearance-wise, this resembles a dessert, it is actually a lovely appetiser to start your meal with.
Drizzled with an aged balsamic vinegar, the creamy burratina comes with slices of pickled pumpkin, fresh wedges of juicy and sweet persimmon, smoked tomato and toasted seeds.
I enjoyed the pleasantly light and balanced flavours of this a lot.

If you love mashed potato and truffle, this is a match made in heaven. All of us at the lunch went gaga for it. The earthy fragrance was deliciously heady and the hot potato was cooked till perfect softness.

Wagyu fans, this is for you.
Located on the 55th level of ION Orchard (yes, spectacular views of Singapore are guaranteed when you dine here) has created a special “Meat To Share” platter. It features 500gms of prime Wagyu Ribeye blanketed in Manjimup Truffle, accompanied by the tastiest of sides.
The steak is from @Westholme, an Australian company that has bred Wagyu cattle for over two decades. The proprietary nutritional feed and free-roaming arrangement for their cattle to graze on pristine tracts of native grass result in meat that’s highly impressive in quality and flavour. Executive Chef Jake serves it carefully charred on the outside but still a gorgeous pink within, so you can be sure every bite of that smoky, ridiculously tender juiciness segues into a knee-weakening #beefgasm.
Now let’s examine the company the Ribeye keeps. There’s a serving of hand-cut chips (a.k.a. chunky fries) dusted with herb salt, a vine of slow-roasted sweet tomatoes glossed in aged balsamic, as well as perky crisp baby romaine lettuce over which buttermilk-cured yolk is crumbled.
As for sauces, you have chimichurri, Madeira jus and aioli fighting for your attention. I must admit though, I loved my steak bare as the default sprinkle of sea salt flakes was all it needed to make my mouth water.

The view is impressive. The dishes are more beautiful to look at than to eat. We had the set lunch. Except for the excellent and gorgeous-looking steak tartare appetiser, all other dishes were good but not memorable. Salt's rib eye was too salty. But then, at $49++, this is not bad value for the overall experience.

Fremantle Octopus ($34++) for appetizer. Octopus was grilled nicely, still soft and moist. Came with tasty watercress and herb sauce, and some sliced potatoes. Good for sharing.

the meal started off with bread, butter and that grey thing that i didn’t catch the name of. i loved the bread, it was chewy, soft & crispy!

then it was appetiser that basically consisted of truffle, cheese, bread crumbs, figs, other fruit & onion jam. the combi was quite new yet good! truffle taste was so strong!
for my main i got the salmon with scallops, lemon puree & uni cream sauce. i loved it! the lemon was a refreshing touch to the main & there was a strong butter taste to the sauce. the salmon & scallops were so soft & fresh!! 😍 the best kind of seafood = soft, fresh, NOT DRY & FISHY

other mains: butternut squash ravioli, was kinda weird lol / snapper with asian inspired chilli sauce, loved this, was so well-marinated! / steak, was good usual steak

we also got caesar salad & truffle parmesan fries! the truffle fries were nice but i wish they were shoestring instead of thick cut 😝

i thought we were done but suddenly the waiter came to our table with that bday dessert, i was so not expecting this surprise from my fam awww. but lol apparently the person they were talking to had super bad english so my name was spelled totally wrong (ashley -> aireen....?) it tasted like vanilla ice cream (made of REAL vanilla, you can see the specks in it) and i enjoyed this bc i love real vanilla, i just hate artificial vanilla flavour 🤢

overall i’m really happy i got to spend my 20th with my fam! felt like a long time since i had a bday meal with them outside since we either celeb at home or with my friends 😩 what a great end to my favourite day of the week ;) oh no! not ending yet, i’m gonna end it with watching why not? the dancer hehe watched it bc of taemin but it’s a real cool show bc i love dance (tho i can’t dance lmao) ((kinda feel like learning tho))

Delve in the rich bittersweet flavours from the coffee and chocolate, accompanied by a slight hint of saltiness and sweet burst of flavours from the popping candies.

While the unique sweet-sour combination is a pleasure to the tastebuds, the addition of crunchy puffed rice provides another textural dimension to the dishful of plump succulence. .
