Roast Paradise (Jurong)

For fellow Westies and fans of roast meats - Old Airport Road’s Roast Paradise has made their way to Jurong East!

Our absolute favourite was the caramelised chunks of Char Siew. These were so tender and smoky, with just the right amount of sweetness. I especially loved the burnt ends for the crisp and char! The premium 不见天 (underarm) cut will satisfy with its extra oomph of fat, but don’t worry, as they offer leaner cuts as well. Their Herbal Roast Duck carried a hint of dang gui with a herbal sweet sauce to pair, while the Roast Pork comes with mustard.

Pair them all with Hakka noodles or rice, and if you dine-in, you get to enjoy complimentary soup. They’re also at Old Airport Road, Compassvale Link and Tampines Ave 12!

Welcome to the West! Finally, Roast Paradise has opened a branch in the western part of SG 🇸🇬.

My family can dig in to their glistening, gummy, charred and caramelised fatty char siew, enhanced with their sweet soy sauce cum honey dipping sauce [not featured in the photo].

It’s utterly AMaZing and unquestionably one of the BEST char siew I’ve eaten. 🫶🏻

Apart from the char siew, the sio bak is served chunky with a firm texture and crackling skin, paired with slightly sweet and tangy honey mustard on the side.

It’s pretty well-executed but there is simply no way to steal the limelight from their to-drool-for char siew. 😋

Side note: Oddly, I was humming 🎶 to this Righteous Brothers’ song for the entirety of today. I reasoned that it is probably that warm, fuzzy vibes it brings, on this exceptional cold and wet day.
