Thanks to @roastparadise, now you don't need to visit expensive restaurants just to satisfy your cravings for Caramelised Char Siew.
The Char Siew are priced affordably at $5.50 for 100gm, and $10 for 200gm. I am so thankful that we have such gems in the local hawker culture. The Char-siew are so delicious and satisfying, and I guarantee that you'll definitely polish off everything in the plate. I admit it's rather sinful, but trust me, this is definitely worth every of the calories.
An explosion of lusciousness from the super fatty Char siew. I asked for extra fatty and they delivered, with almost 70% fat.
I asked for extra crispy but it seems that the standard pieces were very well charred as well. Possibly the best Char siew I've had, thanks to the complete disregard for health haha
For those who are unaware, you can now get Roast Paradise’s epic char siew at the Kopitiam in Tampines Mall! Was pretty surprised when we saw no queue for this, as their KL-style char siew won my belly over since their Old Airport Road days. Expect the same charred crust, tender meat and plenty of juice from the fat (no one said this was healthy). This outlet also has a Rose Wine Soya Sauce Chicken which we tried which was alright but we’d stick with their char siew any day!
Liked their Char Siew most, but the roast pork’s good too! Skin’s crispy and the meat is marinated well without being too salty.
A simple bowl of noodles tossed up in lard, chilli and topped with some minced pork. Personally would have preferred a better bite but it was still a tasty alternative to rice!
If there’s only one thing you can get from Roast Paradise, their Char Siew’s THE one to go for! It marks all the checkboxes for a good char siew - smokey, melt-in-the-mouth and just the right amount of fats. It comes with a generous pour of sweet savoury glaze, that’s damn shiok to douse the chunks of pork in. We had this meal at Roast Paradise’s stall here in Tampines Mall’s Kopitiam Food Court. Queue wasn’t as long, so you know where to go if you need to get your char siew fix!
