The cake is suuuper soft and dense, and the kaya is surprisingly blue instead of green :O I don't find the kaya taste to be all that strong tbh, it tasted more like an ambiguous sweet filling, but I still liked it nonetheless! I'd probably call it a pandan roll instead of a kaya roll. The filling is pretty substantial in relation to the cake!
I tried the pandan roll from The Hainan Story a while back and the biggest difference would be the price. R&G's roll is REALLY LONG AND THICC 👅💦 while THS's is smaller and shorter oop I guess size does matter because this roll is a lot more affordable for its price. As for the taste, both are similar in terms of the softness and denseness of the cake. THS's kaya is more prominent, but for the price, R&G is the way to go. I can see why they have such long queues because $10 for this long and heavy roll is 👌👌 a very justifiable booty call, now I know to check it out next time!

🤑 worth the price: yeee
🦖 would I buy: I'd try the other flavours!
💍 would I marry: ye son
Soft and fluffy swissroll with the just right amount of cream! Sold out very fast and always have a long queue. Brought kaya, chocolate and gree tea flavour. My favourite? The green tea.
We also got ourselves a kaya swiss roll & we feel it’s quite affordable bc look at the size of it!!! As usual, the cake was really soft & not to sweet but the pandan taste wasn’t strong enough for us as compared to the durian :( it’s still nice tho, but we just don’t recommend eating this after eating something sweet bc this would just become tasteless 🥺
We bought the regular sized durian swiss roll after queuing up for about 30 mins at 12pm on a Friday. Pretty impressed with this! Cake was soft, not too sweet & it had a really rich durian flavour with durian bits in the cream. Definitely a good snack to satisfy your durian cravings!
Rich & Good Swiss Rolls impressed upon me as affordable and quality. With fluffy cake sponge and flavourful Kaya cream, the petite cake would be the perfect snack or breakfast when paired with a cup of coffee or tea.
Very often, the Kaya and Durian flavours would be sold out fast, so if they were still available I would usually pick up a box or two every time I visit Jewel Changi Airport.
The green tea flavor in this sponge cake was good. Cream was green tea as well, with tiny bits of red beans inside. Delicious with a cup of green tea.
