Best meal in malacca, but beware of the ultra long queues. Order the fresh milk crab, crispy honey pork, sotong and cheese bee Hoon.
😋 Waiting time for this is usually about 2hrs, thankful for aunt's friend who went ahead to queue when we were on our way back from a dharma music concert! 感恩❤️ #hmfoodsteps📍馬六甲
Warning: this restaurant tends to be crowded, so come early or expect a wait of no less than an hour.
Though it may be famous for its cheese bee hoon (which I tried and wasn't particularly wowed by it), what caught my tastebuds by surprise was the Fresh Milk Crab. The sauce was sweet and yet had a tinge of tanginess that was borderline spicy, but the unique flavor had be clamoring for more. The crab meat was juicy and portions were large, making the trouble of getting the meat out worth it. Served with toasted bread instead of the usual mantous made it less filling (which was made up for by the crab meat)
Lucky us didn't have to wait for too long to get a table here. First dish that was served was the signature Cheese Bee Hoon which came with copious amounts of huge prawns (which Ah Pek doesn't eat). We ordered the large one and it was enough to feed 10 of us with a small bowl each. The cheese was diluted into the gravy which gave it a slightly creamy texture and added a distinctive savoury flavour that one can only get from cheese. The bee hoon was well quoted with the gravy but each mouthful wasn't too cloying ◡̈

Apart from cheesy giant prawn bee hoon, you should never missed this: One of the best fried sotong I've ever had in my life. No joke. I might drive another two hours to melaka again *temptations* !.

Tips: Make advanced booking else you gotta queue for hours...
