If I ever had the guts to open an F and B outlet, it has to be like real food .
Service is good and brisk and the presentation and quality of food is consistent.
More than that - it's the Homely and casual atmosphere which draws me back and back again .
Dining at real food is like dining at home .
These in house handmade dumplings in a hot vegetable broth has its magical powers in comforting any hungry stomach.
More than the stomach being fed , the soul feels fed too .
Real food , soul food .
There is something magical about these vegetable dumplings. So magical that they taste better than meat dumplings. A mixture of mushrooms, beancurd, carrots and beans are handchopped and wrapped up in a dumpling skin. Real food has got the golden ratio right - the ratio of dumpling filling to the ratio of dumpling skin.
The accompanying carrots and green vegetables in the soup are insanely fresh and sweet and the best part is that they are organic.
If you need a fuller meal , ask to add on the Spinach noodles ( but please remind the counter staff that you want your noodles firmer ).
Ask for their in house Chilli too because they the dumplings and the Chilli are a match make in heaven .
At SGD 9.80 for 6 luxurious dumplings, it make an affordable and hearty meal.
A plus point is the serene cafe ambience which always keeps me coming back .
Perfect comfort food (Vegan)! Light & Tasty.. Fillings in the dumplings are generous with the right thickness of the skin. Goes very well with their chilli sauce, which is also great. I actually felt full and satisfied even without the noodles - which you have the option to add on. Just perfect! Staff are also very friendly and nice which makes the whole experience gggrreeeaattt..!
Fried/Steamed dumplings that came with high recommendations did not disappoint! Wonderful flavours and textures that really do taste better than generic pork-filled ones. Both the baked penne and the other mushroom tomato one were strong savouries that I highly recommend! The waffles with fruit compote were also an absolute delight! Pesto sandwich was light and simple, decent but also nothing to rave about. Would come back just for the dumplings!
Braised pork rice, $6- pork and its sauce were nice. Honey chicken rice, $6.50- some of its skin was crispy and meat was ok. Added $1 for free flow of cold lemon/ peach tea.
waffle was tasteless but the fruits and mapple syrup saved it
