The 3 minute eggs are done beautifully! Still soft and wobbly. Great accompaniment to the kaya butter toast.
Liked the 'cooked till just yellow' sayohlodeh (beans, cabbage, jicamas), the deep crimson sambaltumis and the freshly made #serunding
PS. When I met Adam, I learnt that the cooking maestro has been happily working his culinary magic along Jalan Trus in JB Bandar for well over 20 years... #jbfoodies
No-sweat kaya toast set. No sweat because no need to squeeze with every other Singaporean queueing up at the eateries found on Google (I'm guilty of doing research this way too!).
Nice teh (2 RM), great eggs (2.60 RM) & decent kaya toast (2 RM). Yay!
Cheap and excellent nasi padang from Qin Garden Kopitiam in Johor Bahru. Their rice was was super fragrant, and their dishes were great - tasty with a good variety. Recommended dishes would be their fried chicken and beef rendang. Fried chicken had a nice crisp skin, while the beef was tender and chunky. Also, make sure to pour some of that yummy curry sauce over your rice - we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was!
Great way to start our JB food exploration for the day! The toast here is better than the one at Hua Mui, but it seems like the folks at Kin Wah are slather on their kaya more generously. Love the eggs here which are super fresh, with a runny yet still firm texture.

Many recommended to try their mutton rendang but personally I felt that chicken rendang was a much harder dish. The chicken was so well seasoned that we finished in seconds. Their slow cooked squid (must order) was more than lovely, one of the best I tried. .

Order a cup of old school kopi by Qin Garden Kopitiam. Two soft boiled free range eggs! This was what I called a hearty breakfast! .
