Chill and cozy atmosphere.
Good for talks and giggles.
They have a selection of affordable alcoholic drinks too.
One of Pahit’s fruit infused gins. If you’re not a “hit me with your hardest” kind of drinker, this is perfect. The kick is subtle, but oh so present on the back of juicy pomelo pulp and sweet elderflower fragrance.
Taking over the now defunct Barlai along Jalan Sin Chew Kee, Pahit is a marriage between the shoplot's old, pared-down aesthetics and the new wave of bars that encourage focus on a single type of alcohol. If your love for gin runs deep, this one will make a fine choice for relaxing evenings with a few friends. The bar sees its bedrock in a glass of Gin Pahit (RM40), the classic, colonial-inspired drink of gin and Angostura bitters. Those who enjoy their drinks with a twist will be happy to know that the bar is helmed by CK, the same guy behind nearby bar Coley's inventive cocktails. Here, he's to thank for their sous vide fruit-infused gin and tonics. Try the Lemongrass & Kaffir Lime (RM26) that takes the refreshing element of G&Ts to the next level with tangy lime flavours. Otherwise, the Pomelo & Elderflower (RM26) should soothe throats while tickling tastebuds with a good ratio of sweet and heat. Tasting flights are in talks for the gin bar, so it's prime time to start planning a visit!
Avg price per person: RM40

Replacing old Barlai is this new bar specialising in all things gin. If you’re not sure of what to have, I’d suggest to start easy with Pahit’s sous vide fruit-infused G&Ts, simple yet delicious approach to gin. Or ask the friendly bartenders to mix you up something. Drop in for a quick drink after work or stay and take in the relaxed atmosphere.
