Did egglets first came about in Hong Kong? Cos this appears to be one of their signature snack. And this place serves a fun version of it with lots of toppings, you can think of it as llao-llao-style with fixed ingredients depending on the type you chose.
🔸
We picked "Kido", which is primarily nutella flavoured. The egglets came with Italian low fat milk gelato covered in Nutella sauce. Bite into the egglets and be surprised that it's filled with Nutella custard as well. And beneath all these are crunchy stuff - cookie dough chunks, and caramelized croutons, and more gelato (cookies and cream).
🔸
This is near to the famous Kau Kee. If the queue at Kau Kee is very long, you can grab one egglet here and have it while queuing. It makes time pass faster :)

This was a return visit! Tried Oddies Foodies’ night wolf the last time and decided to try something different this round. The Woods was a good choice - came with cinnamon and Apple-pie filled eggette! The eggette was slightly ‘charred’ that day but nevertheless crispy and fragrant - I prefer to immerse it in the milk gelato and salted caramel gelato bef chewing it! The burst of flavours in the mouth was WOW. Within the cup were Apple pie compote, citrus jellies and cinnamon crumbles to go with the eggette and ice cream- really awesome combi !
Hong Kong 🇭🇰 has the best egglets! The combination of the warm (& extremely fragrant) egglets with the thick, creamy soft serve whets the tastebuds. The stall owner’s v generous w his serving - look at the dollop of dark chocolate sauce! A must try if you’re around Wan Chai
A Friend wanted to try, so we are here.
Actually this Egglet on Softserve is still worth a try, ‘traditional’ street food with modern take, a mix of hot and cold.
We had the Nutella, and you get traces of that in the egg waffles. Made us feel like a child once again.

Italian low fat soft twist gelato / butter crumbs / scoop of gelato-of-the-day / passion fruit panna cotta / brownie chocolate chip / eggettes / crunchy flakes
Touted as a "red velvet egglette" with blueberry yogurt gelato and red velvet crumble, this special limited-run item was decidedly underwhelming. Filling a grand total of TWO of the waffle "bubbles" with cream cheese is just miserly, disappointing, and certainly does not qualify this as a red velvet-inspired dessert to me.
The soft serve melts very quickly, so tackle that first unless you want to drink it.
If there's anything I liked about this, it has to be the clusters of oatmeal raisin cookie; simply because I like oats.
