Another signature item.
Thin crispy crust, filled savoury meat with full spices and sliced onion.
Matching side served curries & pink onions.
Full of spices, non oily, served hot and tender goat meat (kambing).
Definitely satisfying!
The friendly chap in the queue with me recommended the mutton curry and although I don't usually like this meat, I found it deliciously melt-in-the-mouth tender with none of the smell that I am sensitive to. The omelette and fried chicken were fine but I'd avoid the breast meat in the future as it's dry. I enjoyed the crunchy cabbage as it sparked a fresh bite amidst the richness of the multiple curry-splashed rice. Another highlight was the "papadum" which you could help yourself to as much of as you liked.
My eyes almost popped out at the majestic sight of the wide range of vibrantly coloured, spice-laden curry dishes on display at this popular stall. Understandably, it could have taken me forever to make my selection but after chatting with a few locals in the queue, I zeroed in on their recommendations. My plate had the squid, fried fish eggs, curry fish, salted egg and mixed veg. Everything was really tasty!
I didn't finish the rice although it was so delicious from having the assorted curries ladled over it. Had to be mindful about pacing myself for the eating ahead (this being our first stop upon landing in KL).
Roti tissue and roti prata. A dish you shall never forget before leaving Malaysia! It is good and extremely cheap. Don't forget to stop by when you visit Malaysia.
One of Malaysian signature must try!!
