Hawker bakeries aren't my cup of tea usually, but after hearing recommendations from others about this stall, I thought why not swing by and check it out.
Ogura Cake is similar to Chiffon Cake — something that I only learnt after some research online; the only major difference for Ogura Cake seems to be that the recipe calls for more eggs; the baking process is actually similar. The result of the Pandan Ogura here is that similar to a fluffy Pandan Chiffon Cake, but a little more moist overall — the flavours aren't significantly eggier; in fact the fragrance of Pandan still shines through while topped with chopped nuts on the top.
Had the blueberry muffin. Not too sweet, and blueberries were generous. However, it did not live up to my expectation of being a stellar muffin- won't travel all the way to Jalan Besar for it. I felt that each muffin was made with love though:') carefully handcrafted and baked.
Check out the pastry range from brownies, to cupcakes and more!
