More Reviews of good food at M Seven Cafe

Tucked in a hidden corner of Pomo mall is M seven cafe, my go to place after gym for a quick and affordable meal with free wifi. My obsession with anything Rosti compels me to order only one thing on the menu - Rosti with cheese sausage student meal, which comes with a drink as well. The coffee is good and aromatic, so its definitely worth the price point. Staff are extremely friendly and service is great. This is also my secret study spot where I can feel comfortable doing some intense mugging without getting chased away.

This has a total belly score of 3/5!

It’s delish and pasta is not soggy.. definitely fave lunch place in the area after Astons bcos the taste and price :)

My to-go place for a no frills brunch at super affordable prices WITHOUT gst and svc even on the weekends!

At $8.90 nett, my vegetarian omelette came fluffy with generous ingredients stuffed within (mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes), and what greatly surprised me was how the omelette remained runny and creamy in the middle, while boasting that smooth exterior. Buttery, creamy and fluffy, it was so fulfilling!

The set also came with two slices of toast with butter, as well as a side salad PLUS any drink from the menu (ranging from lattes, tea, to milkshakes even) all without additional cost! A precious gem of a place I’d say!

Hadn't dropped by M Seven Cafe in a while; pretty surprised how the Rosti actually left a more lasting impression than their Pasta. Crisp Rosti that's all crusty without being too greasy, while the sour cream helps to cut through the grease and savoury flavours pretty nicely. Sunny side-up was satisfyingly flowy, while the salmon was pretty decent β€” pan-fried with a considerably crisp skin and flaky flesh that carried the natural flavours of the fish well. While costing $12.90 ala-carte, this item is a steal for the set lunch promo here at $11.90; comes complete with a drink of your choice (which I went for a Flat White). Works great for the occasional treat for office workers and students alike in the area.

Revisted M Seven Cafe and ordered the Crispy Chicken with Thai Sweet Chilli ($9) and woah, this was really satisfying with a portion that felt just right!

For the affordable price, you get a perfectly cooked egg, crispy chicken cutlet that is not oily with pretty tender meat, and a Thai sweet chili that is not too spicy (works for people like me who cannot take spicy food < more fussy foodie facts heh) with just the right amount of sweetness to go with the rest of the dish. While it does undoubtedly look simple and safe, it was executed pretty well!

Also, bonus for students: student meals all day, err day from $9.90 to $11.90 which includes 1 drink (bonus 2: you can request for hot drinks to be served iced at no additional charge). Worth it or what?! 🀀

Taste is there and seafood is pretty good! Good value for money as there is no gst and svc charge. I ordered another dish-carbonara but it was so-so only.

The Baked Mac & Cheese ($9) is really affordable for a main dish at a cafe, and what's more is that it is one of the better mac and cheese's I've had in a while!

A generous amount of stringy melted mozerella cheese and cream sauce blanketed over macaroni and chicken ham. I like the balance of the cheese and cream which, along with the reasonable portion, prevents any impending 'jelat-ness' one would expect of most mac and cheese dishes. πŸ˜‹

The Black Pepper Chicken Sausage Rosti ($10) from M Seven is both affordable and quite tasty!

Such a price gives you a nice portion of crisp and soft potato that goes well with some sourcream dip and nicely cooked black pepper chicken sausages, along with a sunny side up with a runny yolk! While the dish tastes good, I personally feel that the amount of oil can be cut down; it is quite a turn off to see excess oil on your plate when you are finished with your food. Also, the minute portion of salad (?) is kind of depressing, not sure if intentional though.

That said, M Seven is a cafe that has much potential to excel within the local cafe scene, especially with a nice variety of dishes that have the capability of satisfying your tastebuds without costing your entire weekly allowance. Situated at PoMo, this one is definitely worth checking out if you're looking ti have a meal in town! 😊

Salmon Rosti (S$10.50)
Shredded potato πŸ₯”, salmon, sunny 😎 side up
Available at @MSevenCafe in @PomoSg
Served with cream by the side
Planned to have Baked Egg with Norwegian Salmon, but it was not available so ordered this.
It would be better had the fish been less well done.
Although located right inside, the cafe enjoyed a healthy flow of crowd.

The spaghetti was done to a slight al dente texture, bathing in a chilli cream sauce, spiked with a touch of white wine and spiced up with red chilli. Along with fresh, succulent chunks of prawn, the chilli cream sauce was light in texture, flavourful with a tinge of spiciness that was lingering ; a slight resemblance to a laksa flavour and fragrance.
As a fan of spicy food, I wouldn’t mind a higher intensity of spice but I guess this should be suffice for most out there. .

A simple Marche-alike dish that’s reasonably priced (in fact much cheaper than most cafes out there) with a substantial portion as well. The shredded potato aka rosti was fried to a crisp golden brown perfection, with each individual strip of shredded potato bearing a pleasant firm and crisp texture. Served with sour cream at the side, IMO it already tasted good enough in silo. The chicken cheesy sausage was juicy and flavourful, with a slightly oozy cheesy interior. Lastly, with a sunny side up that’s perfectly moulded and bearing a slightly runny vibrant yolk(swipe to view), this might seem to be a simple classic dish yet it does bring a pleasant sense of satisfaction to my palateπŸ˜‹

Smoked Duck Pasta tasted like it was sautΓ©ed in garlic oil while the other two were as they read: Chilli Cream and Tom Yum based. For those who enjoy Tom Yum but are not able to take anything too spicy, beware! It was on the slightly spicier side. Nonetheless, the dishes tasted great and judging by how 2 of us (my brother and I) finished everything we ordered, it's worth the visit! Go before it gets too popular! - πŸ‘΄πŸ» #burpple

Set in PoMo, this new cafe serves up all-day breakfasts and affordable lunch specials, making it a great option for students and executives in the area, as well as diners looking to get away from the Orchard crowds. The food is priced competitively and tastes decent, albeit not particularly outstanding β€” great for regular meals, but probably not special occasions. Try the Seafood Tom Yum Pasta ($10), which is tangy and bright, or go for breakfast plates like Truffle Scrambled Eggs ($9.50) and Banana Pancake ($9). Coffee (from $4), on the other hand, is surprisingly good. Try the Flat White ($4.50), which is creamy and smooth. Pro tip: Their lunch promotion is great value. Most mains ordered come with a complimentary drink.

Surprisingly well-pulled cuppa despite it being the complimentary drink that is served alongside as a set with my pasta. The cuppa is creamy and smooth, while carrying a nutty flavour profile β€” didn't get round to ask them about the beans they used, but certainly impressed by how well it is done.

Settled here for lunch to see what's around the Selegie area; M Seven Cafe is a new cafe within PoMo that serves up all-day breakfasts, rosti, pasta and even burgers β€” they have a set lunch deal running where most of the mains available come with a complimentary drink alongside (yes, you can even order a Flat White at no additional charge).

Going for the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta, the food is pretty serviceable here β€” probably around to offer yet another option to the office folks and students in the area. Because there isn't any cream involved, the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta is pretty bright and tangy without being overwhelming due to the lack of cream to thicken the entire sauce β€” the level of spiciness was pretty manageable for those who can take moderate spiciness. The seafood is largely decent, though nothing much to shout about while the pasta was a little softer than al-dente but still relatively decent. A place that suits its targeted market actually.
