Chillax Places
A good way to start off the meal would be this appetizer that kept everyone's hands busy. The Parmesan cheese topped onto the fries were a great combination with the truffle mayo! The truffle sauce wasn't overwhelming at all and I practically finished entire sauce given. Many thanks to @raine for being the hand model here!
Cheesy omelette, toasted muffins and its crazy good mushrooms were enough to convince me of a revisit. If one prefers a satisfying and healthy breakfast, this dish is vegetarian friendly and would cater to everyone's liking!
The highlight of today's eat up for me was this well cooked cube sized carrot cake! Initially, I was a little disappointed that the carrot cake did not come with any chili sauce, however I was taken by surprise that the chives and sambal that were underneath those carrot cakes provided me a great kick! The carrot cake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, this combination reminds me of those 60 cents carrot cake that I used to eat when I was younger. Will definitely be back to have this again!
Craft beers from $10 or above, I ordered this $14 "watermelon" beer which had a rather uncomfortable after taste. They also have a wasabi flavored one which I didn't enjoy (these are all personal opinions). Surprisingly I enjoyed the "f*cking hell" German lager beer which had a really smooth aftertaste that I found enjoyable! PS: the staff/boss was a really cool guy, the cashier gave a wrong and extra change, my friend who returned the extra cash was rewarded for his honesty with an extra pint of Asahi 😁
A very decent meal at $7 plus, it was actually very filling and all of it are freshly made right after the order is placed! (It is mentioned in their menu to give them a maximum for 25 minutes preparation time when you order their food!) will be back for their tarts next time!
After much raved reviews from a fellow burppler, I finally made my way down to the cafe to have my shot of caffeine :)
A newly opened cafe by a friend of mine in the army, along with his friends who look like twins to me. You can order the coffee either in 3 or 5 oz, and 5oz being the default option. It's conveniently located next to Farrer Park mrt and the owners are young and friendly. They have a speciality which is their cold brew which is prepared 18 hours before hand without hot water and only mixed with milk only on the day itself. I will surely be back one day to try out their full menu when I have the chance!
Poached egg with ham, cheese and tomatoes on sour dough toasts. After so many repeated recommendations of this place by friends of mine, I decided to drop by this place and I was quite amazed by the quality of their food and coffee. The moment I entered the cafe, the friendly staff instinctively asked me whether would I like to start with a cup of coffee which I gladly obliged. I went over to take a look at the menu at the wall and decided to have some eggs for dinner and it was really a good place for me to revisit!
Chocolate mousse with hazelnut!
My fifth time at this place, my first for its brunch and I would say the price is good for such a dish. The eggs were runny and the sauces weren't too strong for an overkill, the avocado when eaten with ham gives a taste so satisfying that sends you going for another bite of it. The salad was pretty decent and the entire dish was sufficient to make one feel full!
Kinda forgot the name of the pizza, it was good but really oily....
$36 . Perhaps one of the best duck legs I ever had. Although it's kinda too oily but the veggies were delicious!!!
