We had the set lunch here, comprising a wood-grilled appetizer and main course. The beef ribs melted in your mouth. Even the dessert featured an innovative smoked ice-cream. A gastronomic experience.
The ngor hiam here is the best I’ve had in Singapore. Each piece is handcrafted and goes with a sauce that is only found here. The sour plum drink was an excellent thirst quencher to go withthis dish.
A shout out to all fans of scones! An exciting wide array of scones. They were a star feature at my tea party!
Walking into Cha Kee was like stepping back into Hong Kong. The decor was casual and fun. The homemade crunchy prawn toast was an absolute crowd pleaser. This is a must order dish. I indulged in the red bean milk tea too, with the red bean made from scratch at the cafe. A delightful experience on the whole.
We had set lunch here, comprising Oyster & Mushrooms for entree and the Grilled Octopus for Main Course. Both were delightfully cooked and presented. The Oyster & Mushrooms was especially phenomenal. With three kinds of local mushrooms char-grilled to perfection and complemented by homemade garum fermented in house, the result was rich, juicy and beautifully complex.
Service was also impeccable.
