Nice food place!!
First time visiting New Bahru and was amazed by how this little estate of itself actually had so many gems. Tried One Prawn today and order some popular dishes.
I think the Prawn toast was really good and had a good mix of crunchiness and chewy texture to it
Also ordered the famous lobster paofan, I think it’s not too bad as u can see how they plate and serve it (got the bar seats)
drink wise we order chengteng lychee sth, but I didn’t like that they serve it in plastic cup ahhaha but the taste was fine.
Overall, price point seems a little bit high but suitable for those who appreciate the tranquility of the place, great for catch up and for friends families to have a good chat.
went for dinner ytd and ordered ginseng chicken soup and the famous turtle soup! Honestly haven’t tried turtle before so was a bit taken aback but when I tried it ytd, was pleasantly surprised that the meat tasted a lot like chicken but even more tender, do try if you’ve always wondered how turtle tasted like.
I think the sides like the egg and tofu were decently priced and tasted great! The in house chilli sauce was really good as well, make it a point to dip it with all the food ahahaha
One amazing thing to note is that the soups are refillable with the turtle soup being able to be refilled once only!
I think the portion of the half kampung chicken is really generous and the meat is really tender. Had a really fulfilling meal for 2!
Ordered the lunch omakase menu and was welcomed with crabmeat chawanmushi! Love how fresh the crab meat is, and after that we had 4 sushi and a Wagyu Don too. Personally really liked the Don. Atmosphere was good and I think it’s a good place for celebration as well! Staffs were really friendly which was a plus point
The rice dumplings from Kim Choo is a go to whenever I’m in the area. Got the Memory Trove Gift Set this time round and it’s the first time my family tried the kueh salat. It is so delicious! One of the best that I’ve tried!
