Xin Feng Heng mushroom bcm

A very good bowl of $3.50 ba Chor Mee! Service was abit slow, but for this price point, I’d say it’s quite fair for the wait.

Flavourful, noodles coated well with the sauce, quite springy when eaten. But the chilli can be more powerful to give the dish that additional kick. Ingredients were also quite plentiful for this amount.

No wonder it receives popularity from the crowd during a weekend lunch timing!

Can’t go wrong, this is a very good and well worth it average bowl of bcm.

Bought the black chicken soup for $6.00, standard size bowl, but not super boiling hot.

It came with a quarter black chicken , some herbs and roots, red dates etc. Chicken was fall off the bones, quite tender - but expected coming from the steamer. All soup are from the drawer steamer so do expect some quality being traded off there. Soup aren’t refillable so savour while it last.

A good option for a light dinner if you are around the area.

The mochi ice cream was $6.50. Mochi was highly chewy, ice cream very fragrant and not too sweet.

It was a pleasant experience pulling the mochi and having fun with it while eating. First time encounter with a mochi ice cream but a very good one.

No ice sampling was allowed though.

Many of the items were sold out when we got there about 715pm, and they closes at 730pm instead. So do plan your itinerary well to avoid disappointment.

Seating places were also limited too.

Waitress was highly friendly and we managed to get samples before we decided on a flavor. All black sesame, oolong, and vanilla was so tempting but we decided on the oolong mochi ice cream.

The oolong was strong yet tasted light, making subsequent bites much easier. However, the mochi was thinner and less chewier than would’ve preferred.

Nonetheless, a very good option if you’re around the area.

For the price point, I’d expect more of the croissant.

Paid $4.00 for a croissant which looked beautiful, but turned out to be dry and somewhat stale. Likely it was sitting there for the whole day about to get tossed out upon shop close. This being said, it was still minimally buttery and moist in the centre - albeit just for a small bite.

They could consider reheating the pastry if it’s for immediate consumption.

Otherwise, avoid it after office hours.

Wonderful beancurd tart that we got!

The crust was firm, buttery, yet not to heavy for consumption. In fact, it was so good that I ate 2 in a sitting, and was craving for more. It wasn’t too sweet, has a good beancurd flavor which just made it such a fantastic experience eating it.

We got the box of 8 for $11.80, which is about $1.50/tart. Honestly, a perfect deal.

Only cash payment, so come prepared!

We really can’t go wrong with MacDonald! Got the fillet o fish, fries no salt, Coke Zero no ice, mcspicy promotional items.

The items all came as ordered, area was clean, nothing much we can complain about.

Toilet was a little bit wet and dirty but could be a result of the lunch peak period so we cannot say too much about it!

Otherwise generally a good experience!

A peaceful weekend hidden gem for you to bring your family for a dimsum meal!

The impossible meat was really impossible to detect, felt like I was eating real meat as the flavour and texture was on point!

The salted egg bun is a must get, mega explosion with the crispy bun is such a pleasant sinful munch!

My personal favourite is the Japanese dumplings, all so plump juicy and savoury, especially dosing it with the sauce really made it a WOW dish!

Otherwise, I’d consider this a pretty average decent and price friendly dimsum place in Marina area! What more it’s just 1min walk to the downtown mrt startion (blue line), very accessible!

Pork. Lard.

Seriously, the pork lard given here is out of this world. Big, crunchy, melts in your mouth. Eating it with the noodles made this a highly satisfying meal.

I got the $5.00 portion and the amount was quite huge. The noodles came with a generous amount of minced pork, small pork liver, factory meat balls.

The flavor is definitely better than average but was tad bit salty for my liking, the chilli has a small kick. The soup was clear, smooth, and savoury but lacks the minced pork sensation. Noodles was al dente, cooked just right with a good chew to it, not too clumpy so the whole slurping experience was great!

For a $3.50 bowl of noodle, really can’t expect too much.

Good: Pork lard was provided, noodle portion was huge, provided beansprouts upon request, soup wasn’t too salty.

Improvements: Noodle was slightly over cooked, meat balls were factory made, chilli was lackluster, no mushroom was provided.

This meal cost $5.50

There was a Crispy egg w runny centre. minced chicken tasted mainly of oyster n soy sauce needed more basil flavour and spice to make it more authentic.

For the price I'd expect somewhat of a better quality though.

Very salty, noodles was slightly over cooked.

Egg was the soft boil kind given by default, ikan billis portion was more than average, they also gave fried garlic slices which became all mushed up when we mixed it with the noodle - kinda defeated the purpose of it.

Price: $8.80 - not friendly
Portion: Filling
Taste: 2/5
Overall: 6/10 - get ready a bottle of water to quench your thirst after eating this.
