Hawker Eats × Braised Duck 🦆
Firm and flavourful duck meat with thick and gooey gravy. The braised gravy was savoury with hints of herbal taste. They serve only dark sauce rice rather than yam rice. The texture of the rice was a little dry and grainy that I went back to request more gravy over my rice. Their spicy and zesty sambal belacan chilli added more flavours to everything and it is a must-have 》$12.80 (2 Pax)
They do not list their prices, neither do they have any menu over here. All we have to do is to inform them how many pax we have and they will serve up a platter that is sufficient for everyone with rice/porridge.
We ordered a platter for 2 pax that comes with braised duck meat, tofu, peanuts, fish cake, eggs and bean sprouts together with 2 bowls of soup and rice. The duck meat was well braised and tender without the gamey taste. I liked the braised sauce that is thick and savoury and it is the reason why I'm coming back here again for more duck rice 》$18
I love their springy noodles tossed in braised sauce, paired perfectly with chilli and herbal soup 》$3.80
Smooth and tender duck meat on braised broth (not yam) rice. They are quite generous with their fragrant savoury gravy. The best part is that it's boneless, making it very convenient and just focus chewing my plate of duck rice 》$3

We ordered a set of duck rice with extra braised tau kwa that costs $10. This is different from the 卤鸭 where it has that soft jelly skin and dark color meat. The braised duck here has a light meat color and then darken with savoury, spice-infused, soya sauce-based gravy. The tenderness of the meat is 👍 . I love my afforadble weekday hawker lunch 🙆

I'm in a relationship with food. Why can't we just declare our never ending love and vows towards some food item? I'm sure that would not result in divorces.
