🍞 Rissoles
📍Beccarino's Patisserie (@beccarino.sg)
📌 North Bridge Road
💰 $3 each
Found out that @beccarino.sg is gonna be closing in June, pretty upsetting since I dont know where else to get rissoles in sg :( before they close, be sure to pay them a visit!
🍗 Chicken
Tastes sweet and a little like teriyaki, the chicken chunks are generous and flavourful.
🧂 Black Pepper Chicken
This has a bit of a spicier kick to it from the pepper, its also really generous in terms of the amount of chicken.
🧀 Chicken Mushroom with Mozzarella Cheese
My fav of all 3, the filling is gooey from the cheese and it kinda tastes a bit like cream sauce.
Super good and definitely gonna get more before they close!
Probably one of the best raspberry pistachio pastries I’ve had. The pistachio element is really generous and evident, there are bits of crushed pistachio and pistachio butter spread throughout the pastry. The raspberry is tangy and not too sweet and the pastry itself is super buttery and crisp.

🍞 Chicken Rissole
📍Beccarino's Patisserie (@beccarino.sg)
📌 North Bridge Road
💰 $3
Compared to the other 2 rissoles from @beccarino.sg , this one is sweeter imo. It kinda tastes a bit like teriyaki chicken. The exterior is really crispy and not thick and doughy! The fillings are also warm and generously filled.

🥐 Cereal Prawn Croissant
📍MADU The Bakery (@madubakerysg)
📌 Race Course Road
💰 $11.90
🤑 Promo code: 《BREADINOSAUR》for $5 off @pickupp.sg
I dont like seafood. I dont like prawns. Once when I was 8 or so, I tried to eat a prawn with the blind belief that my tastebuds were developed enough for me to stop being such a bloody picky eater, and I tried a fried prawn tempura then spat it out. Haven't attempted to eat prawns since, but this Cereal Prawn Croissant was my sexual reawakening to the potential magic of prawns because it is BUSSIN.
The prawns are HUGE and suuuuper fresh, not like those tiny shriveled little pieces with a rubbery appearance that you may find commonly. So juicy and chewy and even though I still wouldnt willingly eat prawns, this croissant definitely opened me up to it.
I love the addition of the cereal and theres also some yuzu dressing on it I believe? I thought that was a little odd paired with the cereal, would prefer if they stuck to mayo / garlic aoili. But either way a suuuuper quality croissant !

🍞 Laksa Quiche
📍51 Tras (@51tras)
📌 Tanjong Pagar
💰 $8++
This Laksa Quiche is from @tigerlilypatisserie , available at the newly opened @51tras cafe. The egg custard is suuuuuuper silky with the most amazing texture, and the fillings taste exactly like laksa. There are even little pieces of prawn and fishcake to make it taste even more legit.
The crust is really buttery too. However I find that for $8++, its really far too expensive given how it basically tastes like laksa. I'd rather get mysrlf a whole bowl of laksa for $3.50 than get this again.
Despite the price, its really good and super creative so props to them for that!

🍞 Polo & Chicken Floss Shao Bao
📍Mr Shao Bao (@mrshaobao)
📌 Westgate
💰 $2.30 each
🤑 PROMO CODE: 《BREADINOSAUR 》 for $5 off on @pickupp.sg
Unlike most places that only have your typical original shao bao, Mr Shao Bao sells versions that are more interestingly flavoured, with variations like cheese and bacon. I got the polo and chicken floss versions.
Unfortunately the unique elements are only limited to being topped on each shao bao instead of being incorporated into the fillings. As such, if you disregard the top of the shao bao, it kinda tastes more or less the same.
I find the pastry itself to be a bit too thick. The char siew fillings are quite adequate but a bit inconsistent. Generally quite sweet and tasty but doesn't stand out much.
I like the polo one more cuz it has a cookie sweetness and fragrance, the chicken floss one is easily drowned out.
Generally quite pricey for $2.30, but I suppose that's the standard shao bao price in sg. Its worth trying but I dont think I'd get again. Super creative and cute tho! Would love if they incorporated each flavour into the fillings themselves too.
You can get @mrshaobao 's bakes with FREE DELIVERY until 30 June via @pickupp.sg ! Get an extra $5 off when you use my code 《BREADINOSAUR》when checking out with a min spend of $14 😚

This was a daily special when I went to buy it, so it may not be available everyday, but honestly, it's basically the same thing as the oreo cream cheese croissant. This danish has a generous amount of cream cheese inside and 2 sticks of chocolate. Don't know why they named it a chocolate oreo croissant when the main ingredient is cream cheese tho 😂
The oreo bits on top of this danish aren't oreo actually, they're from a knockoff brand that's less rich and chocolatey compared to real oreo, but you can't really tell given how oreo isnt the main star of this danish. The cookie crust is a little one dimensional in taste tbh, its not fragrant or buttery and kinda just tastes sweet.
The cream cheese was also not that incredible, it wasnt super creamy or sweet and was more on the slightly sourish side, like store bought cream cheese. The chocolate was fine though, if you heat it up it melts and tastes quite rich like dark chocolate.
Probs my least fav of the croissants I've tried from On'Lee so far. I'd say give this a skip and try the other offerings they have!

I love pistachio. Who doesn't love some salty nuts? Especially green ones. They remind me of Shrek. I've never seen a pistachio croissant before so naturally I had to spend my $4 on this. For a pretty small croissant, it's a little on the pricier side, but definitely much cheaper than other artisan bakeries out there.
The exterior of this croissant is real good. The green cookie on top surprisingly had a strong pistachio taste, and there were little bits of crushed pistachio on it too. Real nutty. The croissant was also really buttery and fragrant with gorgeous lamination.
However, the amount of pistachio filling inside was frankly speaking, quite tragic. I know that pistachio is expensive but this croissant would have been miles better if there was a more reasonable amount of pistachio butter inside. Sadly I couldn't taste the pistachio that well cuz there was so little :(
Probably wouldn't recommend getting this unless the amount of pistachio fillings are upped significantly. It'd be real good if it were more generously filled!

🥧 Yam Puff
📍 Syiok
📌 Beauty World Food Centre
💰 $1.50
Anytime I see a yam puff or yam pastry on sale, I get a rush of excitement. I guess I owe it to all the taro hype I've been exposed to since starting this account, given how previously I'd never cared much for yam and now I crave that sweet purple morsel everyday. This yam puff is from Syiok, aka the bakery with the most creative and generously stuffed pastries, which already gave me a pretty good impression of this pastry.
Sure enough, the yam filling is absolutely packed. It's super thick and on the "blockier" side as opposed to softer yam fillings, but the yam taste still packs a punch and the addition of fried shallots supplement it with extra fragrance. This yam puff is on the sweeter side so perhaps eating 1/2 would suffice.
Super worth the price, given how it's the densest yet cheapest yam pastry I've had. If you're a yam worshipper like I've become, be sure to get this whenever you're nearby!

🥧 Mixed Fruit Tart
📍Delifrance
📌 Multiple Outlets
💰 $4.60
In my previous post about tarts (homemade strawberry tarts), I mentioned how tarts are basically works of art that deserve their very own museum. On that same tangent, if the Tart Museum were comparable to the Louvre, fruit tarts would be the Mona Lisa: the most iconic one of all. Delifrance's fruit tart retains that visually spectacular element with bright popping colours and a shining, glazy surface.
I think the biggest praise I'd have for this tart is the crust. It's super crunchy and not mushy and fragile like other tarts I've had, and the crunchy, firm texture is still present after a day in the refrigerator. While the crust isn't fragrant enough to warrant being eaten on it's own, the creamy custard and juicy fruits add an excellent contrast of textures and flavours. Truly a fantastic tart.
While it's not the best fruit tart I've had, it's certainly a good one, especially for the price, which is pretty reasonable.

🥐 Delifrance Assorted Pastries
📌 Multiple Outlets
Delifrance is probably the closest I'll get to living out my romanticised Parisian dreams given how in the future, I'm probably gonna be a broke ass media practitioner making just about enough disposable income for a holiday to Pulau Ubin. I'm jealous of everyone who has had the glory of visiting Baguetteland and I won't shut up until I get to be surrounded by oui oui hon hon titty croissants. I guess until that day comes, I'll live vicariously through this assortment of pastries courtesy of Delifrance!
🥐 French Butter Croissant ($3.60) (7.3/10)
A classic and simple pastry that hits the spot when it comes to satisfying those quackson cravings 👌 buttery and fragrant with great lamination, this is a pretty damn good croissant!
🥧 Quiche Lorraine ($5.60) (7.3/10)
This quiche has ham and egg in it, a really hearty and savoury pastry with a buttery crust and omelette-like filling. It's slightly blander than I'd like cuz I prefer strong flavours but it's a rather good and filling breakfast item compared to the other pastries.
🍞 Cinnamon Croissant ($3.40) (7.2/10)
Pastry is pretty dense as with most pastries, the cinnamon taste is quite prominent and its pretty sweet too. Quite a standard tasting pastry, very buttery too!
🥖 Sultana Croissant ($3.40) (7.2/10)
There's nothing more satisfying than savouring something big and juicy. Of course I'm talking about raisins, which this sultana croissant is generously covered in. It's very similar in taste to the cinnamon croissant, being really sweet and dense.
🍫 Chocolate Madelines ($7.80) (7.7/10)
These madelines and soft and spongey with a cakey texture, pretty chocolatey! Not the most fragrant madelines I've had but they're pretty good.
