Bubble Tea
🍹Aloha Sunshine ($5.80++) (7.7/10)
A little steep in price given the small size of this drink, but really refreshing and citrusy. Really great for those who love strong and natural fruity flavours!
🍵 Jasmine Green Tea w Pearl ($3.60 / $5.10)
These pearls are SO GOOD. Chewy and soft and not tough at all, I'd suck these balls all day fr. I couldnt really taste the jasmine element but this was hella refreshing.
🍯 Honey Green Milk Tea w Pearl ($4.90 / $6.90)
I found that this tasted almost identical to the jasmine version, just that it was a tad bit sweeter. Similarly really refreshing!
🥛 Grass Jelly Milk Tea ($4.90 / $6.90)
The grass jelly is suuuuper soft with a texture that I can't describe. It gives the entire drink a bit more of a herbal taste without overpowering it. My bubble tea connoisseur friend thought that the fragrance of the tea could have been stronger, but generally a really nice cup of milk tea.
🧀 Da Hong Pao Wonderland ($7) (9.6/10)
This drink comes with a layer of cheese foam and cheese ice cream on top of brown sugar milk tea with pearls. Cheese ice cream is an extremely odd-sounding combination that would either intruige or disgust a person. In my case, I was extremely intruiged and I loved every bit of it. The ice cream has a cheesy taste with a slight saltiness, but does not taste weird at all. It's pretty similar to those cheese biscuits from Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, with a savoury and salty cheese element that complements the milky-ness of the ice cream base. The milk tea tastes like your standard bubble tea store milk tea, and the pearls are nice and chewy. The cheese elements at the top definitely make this drink pop! I'd say it's my favourite bubble tea drink so far.
🍑 Calpis Triple Peach ($4.60) (8.2/10)
What's calpis? I have no idea either! All I know is that this drink is hella refreshing and made me feel like I'd just finished a marathon (in a good way). It's got a bit of a fruity flavour and a soda-like base, really similar to a slightly fizzy fruit juice or a mild, fresher soft drink.
Now that I'm no longer a Liho virgin, I get the hype. I get why people would spend over $6 on a single drink and why Liho has been dominating every inch of Singapore. Liho, your logo may be pretty sus, but your drinks sure are top notch 🥤

🥛 Flaming Brown Sugar (9/10)
This giant cup of brown sugar milk comes with a crisp, blowtorched-top a la creme brulee. The top of the milk is covered in a layer of what I believe is cheese foam. It has a slight cheesy taste, and surprisingly, is really really good. I've always been sceptical about cheese foam, but the lightness and interesting savoury-ness of the foam went well with the sweet milk! The tapioca balls are chewy and qq with a strong infusion of brown sugar. A really really good cup of brown sugar milk!
🍓 Strawberry Hawthorn (9/10)
This is their CNY special, it's like an ice blended smoothie with bits of real strawberry scattered inside. The texture was a bit more watery when I had it because the ice had melted by then, but it still packs a flavourful berry punch. I was expecting the strawberry to overwhelm the hawthorn but surprisingly, both the strawberry and the hawthorn are quite prominent despite being blended together.
🍪 Lotus Biscoff Coconut Shake (9.4/10)
This is just yum on SO many levels. The shake has a really strong biscoff taste with biscoff crumbs on the top for a bit of crunch. I feel like I may have become biscoff fatigued over the past few months cuz of how much biscoff I've been having, but this shake reminded me of why I love it soso much!! The shake is creamy with generous chunks of coconut. Seriously one of the best drinks I've had in a long long while.
🖤 Black Sesame Coconut Shake (9/10)
The moment I saw black sesame, I knew that I just had to get this. The idea of putting black sesame in a coconut shake is so unique, and it was definitely a great decision! The black sesame taste is pronounced and really nutty, and it goes so well with the milky coconut. Texture wise, it's more watery than the biscoff one, but still so delicious and it satisfied my black sesame cravings. If you're a black sesame fan, this is a must try!
I'm not sure if the store staff forgot to add the teabag or if the recipe is actually like this but I couldnt taste the tea at all. It tasted like straight milk. The boba pearls were pretty chewy and tasteless. Not the best bubble tea I've had, I definitely wouldn't pay $3.50 for one cup but I got this with the Burpple Beyond 1 for 1 so it's a lot more worth the price. Try something else on the menu instead!
