Places With Drinks
Located within the grandeur of Capitol Kempinski Hotel, this casual dining German restaurant is perfect for cozy afternoon brunch or evening happy hour drinks! You canāt go wrong with their crispy and succulent Veal Schnitzel ($37), served with potato cucumber salad and cranberry sauce for a sweet, fruity finish. Other must-orders include their Nuremberger Pork Sausages ($26) and Smoked Beef Sausage ($26), paired with a pint of ice cold German lager to wash it all down. Don't miss out on their homemade, deliciously savoury Freshly Baked Pretzel with Dijon Mustard to start off your meal!
Nestled right in the hippiest drinking alley of Keong Saik Road lies Singabrew, the hall of one of Singaporeās best brews. Singabrew prides itself on only selling local brands, and itās easy to understand why. Priced as low as $8.80 per bottle, we, too would easily choose an ice-cold, refreshing pint of locally-brewed craft beer over mainstream brands any day.
Sounds good? Your drinks can only get better when at half price with Burpple Beyondās 1-for-1 deal!
The platter came with smoked salmon, ham, chicken, and mushrooms served on toast. Pretty decent and fun to eat, but wish the toast were crispier. Overall, a good dish and fun for sharing.
One of the most unique gin flavours that I fancied was their Earl Grey G&T (S$16.00). Infused with Earl Grey, the Singapore Dry Gin made by Brass Lion Distillery was paired with Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic and garnished with dehydrated lemon slice and lemon balm.
I felt like I was drinking a tea cocktail, but the flavours remained refreshing with distinct notes of citrus, floral and bergamot. My only gripe about this was that it was good yet the gin was not available for retail.
There are many options, unfortunately with Burpple, you can only choose $12 shots and they must be the same. Same goes for the drop shots which are $15.
Seems like there are cheaper alternatives for drinks in the vicinity if you're not into anything fancy.

Located at The Offshore Building along North Canal Road, this bistro bar is known for their alcoholic cakes and coffee for a mid-afternoon boozy perk-me-up! Pair their Bailey's Irish Cream Pancakes ($23), M18 Cake Jars ($18) and The Flaming Surprise ($28) - a yakult soju ice cream cake with their M18 Coffee ($8.90), choosing between an option of Whisky Black or Baileys Latte. Talk about a drunken good time!
Newly opened at Cross Street Exchange, make your way down to this yakiniku restaurant for a round of drinks and Japanese Kushiyaki and delicacies. With Burpple Beyond, enjoy their $33.90 Set which comes with a round of five sticks Kushiyaki and two High Ball per person. Spoiled for choice with their wide variety of Yakitori, Pork or Vegetable Kushiyaki, we recommend ordering their tender Kashiwa (chicken thigh), Tsukune (housemade chicken meatball), Asparagus Maki, Bacon Hotate and Shishito (Japanese pepper). Be sure to quote "Burpple" while making your reservation prior to heading down!
Got the cheeseburger and added bacon ($2), burger was very impressive and the best part was the buttery and soft bread. The meat was also very tender and juicy, and there was a creamy sauce which added lots of flavour to the burger. Burger came with fries which were yummy and crispy. Would come back again for this burger!
The service here was also very good and the servers were very friendly.
Burpple 1f1 deal on mains were however not applicable for their burgers. The mains applicable were limited.
Came on a weekday evening. Hardly any people! Small and nicely decorated place! Ordered Pork katsu don and boy was it crispy and taste quite goodšš»š
Note: Burpple 1-1 deal can only be redeemed upon purchase of 2 Don + 2 Full Pint. Good deal total about $16-18 per person! We chose to top up with yakitori. Final bill about $20+ each.š

Discovered this bar on Burpple and decided to give it a shot. Firstly, the photo itself shows it all and this meal tastes as good as it looks. Secondly, the burgerš ! The patty was juicy, tender and well done just as requested. It was superrr flavourful and the beefy, oniony patty tasted absolutely delicious. Brioche bun was slightly sweet and buttery just to my liking. Texture was also spot on as it was soft, fluffy and toasty on the bottom. Cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and caramelised onions complimented the patty very well. Also, love the addition of the crispy, fatty bacon š„. Lastly, Cajun fries at the sideš. These crispy and light fries had the best texture and flavour! Absolutely loved the Cajun seasoning, liked it so much that we had to order more of the fries. Very worth the price and highly recommend!
