gen made me a ๐ฅค๐๐ค๐ฎ ๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐๐ข ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ [$5.9], which i think is pretty much their most iconic option on the menu. relatively more fragrant and thicker than your average cup of soya milk, it even comes with a smooth layer of beancurd at the bottom and a creamy, airy dollop of soya milk foam, created from freshly frothed soy milk. to top it off in a way iโve never seen before is a skewer with three chewy mochi-ish balls and a sprinkle of earthy soy bean powder. as an avid drinker of boxed soy milk, i must say that this was a real treat ๐ THANKS GENNY!!!!!!

Featured in the Michelin Bib Gourmand, I had high hopes for these beef noodles and am delighted to write that I loved them! With thin juicy beef slices and four beef balls in a clear flavourful broth, I briefly considered ordering another bowl for myself. I appreciated how the broth had a noticeable 'beefy' taste with a subtle sweetness, which is probably evidence of cooking the broth over a long period of time rather than using pre-made powdered seasoning. The chilli served with the dish has a pretty good kick and brings out the flavour of the beef beautifully. My sole (mostly negligible) gripe is that the portion of noodles was pretty tiny despite ordering the largest size, and I still felt hungry after the meal. At such an affordable price, I don't know how anyone could miss this!

from @eatkrapow, we had the ๐พ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐จ [$15] to start, which were crisp and flavourful ๐๐ป later on, we had their ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ค๐ช๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ & ๐๐ค๐๐ช [$24], which was my favourite dish of all ๐คค texture wise, it was slightly sticky, and we all loved how it wasnโt too oily and therefore less gelat!

After queuing for quite some time during the lunch hour madness, I managed to get the ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐-๐๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฃ [$9] in the smallest size. I would say that it was pretty good (I mean, I wouldnโt expect any less of noodles I paid this price for). The โramenโ is somewhat like wanton mee: thin, springy and firm. Iโm not typically a fan of chashu, but the slice that came with this bowl was really tender :) The part that Nicole and I liked the most was the potato-wrapped prawnsโshrimp wrapped in a crisp, rosti-like potato. The way the potato strips coiled around the shrimp reminded me of the tornado potato sticks they sell in Korean street food markets ๐
๐ฒ Overall: Is it worth it? Well, it was a pretty tasty bowl of noodles. If youโre willing to spend a little more than usual on hawker food and queue for some time to see what all the hype is about, then you could give this a try. Otherwise, you could easily opt for cheaper options all around in the market. Not something Iโd come back to try again butโฆ Iโm glad I did once, at the very least ๐

looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast before school or work? this place serves one of the fluffiest kaya toasts iโve tried ๐คค at $4.30 for a set (2 eggs, a drink and two slices of toast), you can get a bite of this pillowy bread, spread generously w dark kaya (had a strong coconut taste and a sticky texture) and a slab of butter ๐
