Dinner spots
Super easy to find and located right next to Telok Ayer, they have really fragrant Truffle Beef Grain Bowl with Foei Gras! Very hearty and flavourful and the buttery foei gras complements the dish! There are some outdoor seats which are nice to sit at night :) Cute space for small gatherings
We visited on a weekday night and got a few dishes to share. The dishes offered was very unique with great ingredients, although more on the savoury side. My favourites were the Uni, Lardo & Caviar Toast, Roasted Bone Marrow and grilled mushrooms. I liked the Eton Mess dessert with its creative tropical twist as well! They offer a wide selection of wines and the waiter was very kind to recommend one.
Warm atmosphere for a night out with friends :) Amazing service and presentations as well, made the experience very enjoyable
I recently visited Enjoy Eating House on a Friday afternoon.
We ordered 3 of their signature dishes, Te Kar Bee Hoon, Chili Prawns and Mantou, and Brandy White Fish soup to share. The bee hon had a very distinct wok hei flavor and the meat was rich and thick. I highly recommend the chili prawns and mantou as it is similar to the usual dish less the hassle of taking it apart. The fish soup was on the saltier side but was rich and flavorful with fresh fish slices. It was a rainy afternoon so the soup was really just perfect.
The interior of their newly opened branch had a modern twist on your typical family restaurant. It had a very homey theme, with decor tweaked to look like the things youād find in your own home (like a Chinese calendar)! I loved the bright posters of the signature dishes and street signs decorating the place, definitely worth a visit to experience this.
Our total came up to around $30 each for the both of us. I will visit again in a bigger group to try more dishes š
I recently visited Meat Nā Chill (just a 3-min walk from Sixth Ave MRT). It is located in a serene neighbourhood, they offer indoor and sheltered outdoor seating, and Iād say both are really comfortable options for a chill meal out.
I got to try one of their Chefās Recommendation, the Grilled Salmon Fish! š The salmon was light and fresh with crispy skin. The toppings on the salmon tasted really good with it. It also came along with 2 sides (I chose Straight Fries and Cajun Rice) though I felt it didnāt complement the main dish very well, so Iād keep in mind to choose the other sides instead.
We visited during dinnertime, and the restaurant gets quite full then, so expect some waiting and it is best you make a reservation beforehand. The service staff were friendly and provided great service so thank you so much!
