The star was the Pork Chop served with pickled Apple Slice in Pommery mustard sauce. The texture of the pork chop was so interesting. Feels like a mix of chicken & fish and donāt be deceived by the light coloured piece of meat. Every bite was bursting with flavours.
We were looking forward to the Chocolate Pappardelle. But it just tasted like a good beef pasta with hint of sourness from the Red wine. Couldnāt taste any Chocolate.
Hazelnut Praline Choux was light and fluffy. Not overly sweet. The caramelised hazelnuts give you the extra crunch and surprise every time you bite into it.
Overall: 4/5
Thank god thereās 1-for-1 Burpple deal so we didnāt break the bank after ordering 5 dishes for 2-pax š
Nice Irish Pub situated in the most unassuming place. The dark wood interior makes me feel like I was transported back to Ireland. A really warm & cozy place to spend Christmas Eve.
Highly recommend the Poetās Burger. A nice simple burger filled with thick & juicy beef patty, paired with Mayo, some lettuce, tomatoes and topped with fried onions to give that extra crunch and sweetness. Nothing fancy but well balanced.
Ordered the Irish Car Bomb [$23] (Three quarter Guinness pint with a shot of Jameson and Baileys) but felt that the taste of the Guinness overpowered everything else.
Nonetheless, great experience and would definitely come back again. (PS: Thereās no Service charge & GST š)
