Like many of us, upon seeing this colour and texture on the meat, we will naturally think it’s undercooked. We went back to the stall to feedback and request an exchange for the cooked ones but they did it unprofessionally.
The lady at the counter took our plate and told the chef that the Satay was undercooked. Despite agreeing to do the exchange, the chef showed no remorse and was consistently not happy with our feedback. He kept repeating “不熟?!” (uncooked?!) in a mocking tone despite us standing right in front of their stall.
I don’t think it's funny to serve your customer undercooked meat. The risk of getting food poisoning through raw chicken is no joke (Salmonella bacteria). To us, pink meat is considered raw meat. We are not professionals to tell if it’s cooked or not despite it being pink.
Whilst food is important, so is a good service. It rounds up your entire experience towards the food stall and it reflects the brand name. I’m definitely not patronizing this stall again as they have permanently left a bad impression on me.
P.S. the Satay were average. Tender and soft but missing the char taste. You can tell from the picture that it’s missing that char colour.
