Missing JB a lot so shall throw a throwback post, Hope this place is still open even after covid! Not sure why but every time we are there, it’s either closed or too crowded. We can easily see why though! The place is absolutely enchanting and doesn’t make you feel like you’re in JB at all. The food is pretty damn good too. Highly recommend the Japanese Seafood Brunch which features salmon sashimi, crabmeat sticks, grilled sushi rice, edamame, roasted seaweed, salmon roe and a soft boiled egg. Very wholesome and filling; it lasted us the whole day!

Till now, we don’t understand how they manage to make their bubble tea so creamy and addictive. And the pearls never fail to be spot on! .

For the past 2 years, Guoma Steamboat Buffet has been our favourite hotpot buffet restaurant in JB. We literally come here every time we cross the causeway for our cheap hotpot fix. The prices have recently increased, sadly, but that still doesn’t stop us from popping by to fulfil all our steamboat cravings. We usually frequent the Mount Austin outlet but they’ve finally opened an outlet opposite City Square Mall so yay to the convenience!! Hope this place is still open once we can cross the border again.
