Had the Avocado Egg Toast which comes with hummus, a fried egg and a super addictive chilli nut crisp! One of the best avocado toasts in Singapore at this price point.

Verdict: 10/10

Ok so not gna lie this brunch from Elixir Boutique Roasters was pretty worth the price because of the Burpple 1-for-1 deal because the portions were frickin massive?? LOL the egg to bread ratio for my Truffle Eggs Proscuitto ($22) was like 5:1 HAHAH there was a visible dent in the bread from all that egg sitting on top🐣 didn’t have much of a truffle kick to it until the end for some reason?

This brunch was a hefty one – both price wise and portion wise! I’m not really the biggest advocate for overpriced brunch food but FOCR’s portions and concoctions do justify their price points.
Loved this dessert-ish breakfast flourished with fresh flowers, nuts, berries and cheese cream! It was eye-catching and mouthwatering, for sure.
The iced mocha was delicious but was definitely more acidic that I normally prefer. I did like the strength of the chocolate flavour though!

Verdict: 8.5/10

One cup of coffee is never enough for me so I got a cup of iced white from Elixir Boutique Roasters. Past the milk, the acidity was not too forward and I liked the milk chocolate flavour notes and even a hint of roasted nuts.

Had my eye on this place since they have Burpple 1-for-1 deals but since I had such a packed day ahead for eating, I’ll definitely be back for more mains the next time I’m in the area!

Verdict: 8/10

I ordered an iced mocha at Micro Bakery and Kitchen, as I always do at cafes. It was a great accompaniment to the Parmesan Scone but also, I felt it was very strong and robust in flavour – definitely perked me up. Not as chocolatey as I imagined or hoped, but still a decently refreshing iced mocha!

Verdict: 7.5/10

Finally made my way down to Micro Bakery and Kitchen at Bukit Timah and I already planned a day of eating, so I chose a smaller bite to accompany some early morning coffee. Got the Parmesan Scallion Scone and even though I don’t naturally gravitate towards scones I really do like this one – it’s not as dry, though still quite crumbly, as other scones and is super buttery and the parmesan was a great addition!

Definitely coming back for their tartines and toasts!!

Verdict: 7.5/10

I used to work near Tai Seng so I had the chance to go to Prodigal Cafe and try their Grilled Cheese. It was MASSIVE and it was chocked full of the ooey gooey cheese. Was really delicious and I even saved another half of it for lunch the next day!

Verdict: 8.5/10

Visited Starter Lab w the parents the other day! It’s quite conveniently located near Tiong Bahru MRT and has a really cute interior that smells of freshly-baked bread and coffee - i mean... who doesn’t like that?? ☕️🍞

They’re a cafe from Bali, specializing in sourdough bread! I gotta say their bread is really one of the best I’ve tried in SG and despite the hefty price point - $16 for this Honey Marscapone Toast - it’s really pretty bomb 🔥😩

Verdict: 8.5/10 (super amazing bread & coffee but extremely $$$)

The pasta and steak bowl were pretty decent in portion size and with the 1 for 1 deal, it was super worth the money! What caught my eye and tastebuds more, however, was definitely their Matcha Cruffin ($5)! It was super gao and decently crispy, but not as buttery as Brera or Petit Pain. Really enjoyed my brunch here!

I’m really not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve had in my entire life. It’s ooey gooey cheese and sweet caramelized onions sandwiched in between nicely toasted sourdough. It’s a classic but executed to absolute perfection. It’s also extremely filling so you can save half for another time LOL
