China the Great Wall
Interesting way of wrapping the shrimp with the skin. The texture was a bit rough in a way but still delicious.
Remember to order their soya drink also to accompany your meal here.
Very popular among the local and also tourist with a few outlets around the city. They make their steamed bun freshly onsite everyday.
Their Xiao Long Bao was very juicy and hot. Definitely must try.
A very creamy and light soup base with lots of vegetables.
This dish was interesting, you can either eat it directly or stuff it inside the bun provided. Both ways have its unique taste.
My favourite dish among all, it taste sweet and the shrimps are juicy.
Authentic Chinese restaurant in Jing An Kerry Centre. First dish served on the table, serve in a rolls wrapped with vegetables and shrimps, topped with mango sauce. A refreshing start for the meal.
If you are looking for some local hipster cafe, head over to S.Engine Coffee; which have a few outlets here in the city.
Every outlets have their unique interior design that worth your trip, not only for their coffee but also for you social media photos.
Another hot soup for the cold weather. Generous portion of ingredients inside including the beef. The soup was rather too oily for me. You can request to add noodle for free.
Something you shouldn’t miss out, they have lots of outlets across the cities.
Huge portion with meats and soup inside. Definitely worth the experience trying the local dishes.
I guess many people familiar with teamlab’s installations in Singapore at MBS, ArtScience’s Future World and National Museum. Recently they opened a permanent gallery space at Shanghai with most of their signature works house under one roof.
Inside the space, there’s a tea house specially curated to showcase their work. When your tea being served on the table, light projection of flower immediately grow on your tea. As you move your tea cup away, the flower was disappearing slowly; showcasing the life of flower.
It was a very interesting experience that you should visit if you got the chance. The tea is included in your ticket admission.
But if you can’t make it to Shanghai, no worry. They are bringing the tea house to Singapore next year at Gardens by the Bay under their new exhibition there, in conjunction of Singapore Bicentennial. However ticket to this tea house is charge separately from the admission and it cost $3 for Singapore residents to have the tea.
If you coming to Shanghai, make sure you put this on your itinerary. The tallest bookstore in Shanghai on the 52nd floor of Shanghai Tower. Here you not only can browse some of their book selection from English to Chinese, you also can get a very good view of Shanghai landscape.
But in order to get the view of Shanghai city, you need to purchase a drink from their C Cafe here. But it doesn’t cost a lot as even for my tea only cost around RMB16 ($3+), then you can enter the viewing area to enjoy your drink here.
Chain from Japan, Shirokuma Curry has a few outlets around Shanghai; serving fast food style of Japanese curry rice.
For their lunch set, they offered a very affordable price that comes with a drink and fried squids.
Nothing much to shoutout even with the curry, probably because they are a fast food restaurant. The curry was a sweet type and Japanese rice.
