Japanese Restaurant
Yet another dining concept from Paradise Group, fusion between Japanese Raman and Chinese La mian.
Featuring two main speciality broths with three types of noodles to choose from, ramen, la mian and vermicelli. $19.90 each.
Shrimp broth(Chinese) which boiled with big prawns, pork bones and chinese herbs, giving it a unique "prawn mee" taste with a slight sweetness.
Tonkotsu broth(Japanese) which is prepared by long hours of simmering with pork bones and spices. Resulting in a collagen-rich and palatable with a hint of sour and spicy end taste.
Notable side dishes includes:
Chilled Siken Tofu with Century egg -$3.00
Seasoned Bamboo shoot -$3.00 (Simple but MUST try)
Prawn Dumplings with Chilli Vinaigrette -$7.90 (one of the best prawn dumplings in sg)
Verdict
Food 7/10
Location 9/10
Ambience 7/10

Egg-citing Japanese cafe located @Nex
With a menu that's all egg-related.
Honestly speaking, I love eggs. High hope for this newly open cafe at Nex mall serangoon.
Was told that all the eggs used in this cafe are "UV sterilizated" originated from Okinawa, Japan which are supposed to be healthier?
Varieties of choice are offered in the menu from Egg skewers omelettes to donburi, omu rice and even souffle pancakes.
Recommended to bring a few friends along to try out their Ala Carter menu.
PS: I brought along 5 others so I managed to order almost everything on the menu.
Recommended dishes:
5-kind Japanese omelette skewers -$8.80
Beef stew Omu rice -$16.80
Hashimaki with cheese mentaiko -$4.80
Chocolate Terrine -$7.80
Verdict
Food 6/10
Location 8/10
Ambience 3/10 (in the middle of walkway linking the escalator and link bridge, good location to attract crowds but not the best experience for diners)
Price 7/10
Service 6/10
Overall 6/10

Known as the Ambrosia of Uni in Singapore.
Located at the basement of "The Plaza" which is just beside Pan Pacific Suite Singapore, can be challenging to find it's location for 1st timer.
Restaurant serves a wide selection of fresh raw Uni, from the Canadian Aka Uni which is one of the world largest Uni, to the Japanese Bafun Uni that have a natural sweet taste and the beautiful Russian Bafan Uni that look like a flower.
Going for the Uni Sampler Set of 5types at $98 is recommended for those trying out Uni for the 1st time.
Restaurant also serves a wide selection of sashimi, steak and fried food for those who would like to have other varieties.
Uni Dry Sake shot would be my recommendation for those daredevil that would like to challenge themself, strong sake combine with sweet mouth watering Bufun Ubi, makes a perfect combination to get you drunk without you realizing.
Restaurant is rather small with only 2 waiters, waiting time is rather long and order can be miss out. Check constantly remind the waiter of your missing order and also be mindful to check your bill.
Sidenote: Do call in for reservations even on a weekday to avoid disappointment. Also do check if on their Uni selection of the day as they run out of those top grade Uni airflow from overseas.
Recommended dishes:
1) Uni Dry Sake Shot
2) Uni with Sturgeon Caviar & Crab meat
3) Uni Sampler Set
Verdict:
Food: 9/10
Location: 5/10
Ambience: 6/10
Price: 6/10
Service: 3/10
Overall: 6/10
