KL's Best Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
If you haven't already heard, this fresh-faced bakery in TTDI is super popular for their Chipotle Sourdough Grilled Cheese With Roasted Pepper & Tomato Soup (RM22). The crusty and housemade sourdough works as the building block for this sando that's then loaded with ooey, gooey cheese. This also comes with a small serving of well-seasoned roasted pepper and tomato for dunking. Not overly tangy, it cuts through the richness of the cheese, allowing you to dive in for more. Ps. The sandwich is only available after 11.30am and tends to sell out quickly, so plan accordingly!
Tucked away in Desa Pandan is this homey cafe serving unpretentious nosh. The addictive Camoranesi (RM23) features a combo of cheddar and mozzarella with the addition of an aioli spread and caramelised onions. This is then served on a savoury tomato sauce base that’s perfect for mopping up with your sandwich. Pro tip: Get more bang for your buck on weekdays by opting for their set lunch!
New to the scene is this cafe and bakery – a strong contender in the grilled cheese biz. Available only after 12pm, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich (RM20) is a simple yet delicious delight to have for a quick lunch. Look forward to two crusty housemade sourdough slices filled with cheddar and vintage cheddar. Dunk your sandwich in tomato soup for extra oomph!
