Food Dates ♥️
$29 for two sets of lobster roll, seafood chowder and a drink - this is worth a shot! Bread was nicely toasted, lobster was okay, nothing to shout for, will recommend the Connecticut over the Cheesy bc I feel like the cheese overpowers the lobster!
Don’t think people usually come here for the main dishes, but we visited thrice just for the food coz we love the crabmeat pasta and the steak!! Never disappoints!! Happy hour drinks were quite affordable too.
A place we will revisit - the mains menu looked super appealing and we loved both dishes, but somehow the Salmon Mentai Pasta portion was so little it’s such a pity! Nonetheless worth it with Burpple Beyond :)
My second visit here - feel like they can get quite understaffed so be prepared to wait for your food. The Burpple 1-for-1 included a set with mentaiko tamago, salad with roasted sesame dressing, miso soup and a bowl of your choice. At $13 it’s really affordable, but quality wise the food is pretty average. Not the freshest but okay for the price!
Today we shared the Tom Yum Pasta and Chilli Crab Pasta, an affordable dinner (totalling $18) with BB. Taste wise, pretty average but the soft shell crab was yums! Will revisit if they continued BB :)
Saw many reviews on the Mac & Cheese, and while it didn’t disappoint, it wasn’t the most memorable one I had. Super affordable cafe prices though, esp. with Burpple Beyond (which didn’t include the Breakfast dishes I would love to try!)
Mains were okay and affordable with Burpple Beyond. They had interesting cocktails, and Honey Badger cocktail was good although it was on the pricier end ($22). Overall, a cosy small basement bar for a quiet evening.
