Very simple but comforting dish. I liked that the brocollini retains its crunchiness. A refreshing touch to our duck overloaded meal.
This was so good. Definitely another favourite of mine. Don’t really know how to describe this but it is one fragrant and good plate of fried rice. A must-order!
Expected this dish to be very dry but I was wrong. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Not too bad but nth special either.
Served with 3 different sauces: Raspberry sauce, Calamansi chili and yellow mustard. I thought the raspberry sauce was quite different but the duck tasted like a regular roast duck to me.
This was one of my favourites. Served hot and crispy. I did not taste any spiciness though but this dish was quite yummy and special in my opinion!
I’m usually a fan of sweet sour sauces but unfortunately this tomato-pineapple duck pie was a miss for me. Preferred the black pepper duck pie more but both pies were a bit soggy when served. Unique dish but flavour wise quite meh.
Not your usual Black Forest cake! Chocolate lava cake served with maraschino cherries. Really loved the addition of nuts which adds textures to the dish which if not, would be all soft and mushy. The chocolate lava cake was really thick and rich so recommend to share it too. However, the entire dish was served room temperature with the cake on the warmer side. So the dark chocolate shards were on the softer side when we ate them. I would like it better if there was a cold factor to the dish.
Apple pie pastry with rum and raisin icecream topped with crispy maple bacon. Warm pastry and cold icecream..what a perfect combination! Crunch from bacon and pie pastry added great texture contrasts to the dish. Really loved it but it is quite sweet so I would recommend sharing it.
Opted for it to be medium and it was perfectly cooked. Crispy skin and moist interior. Served on a bed of spices pumpkin purée and baby spinach. The pumpkin purée had a little tinge of curry flavours which I enjoyed. Delicious!
Iberian Pork Shoulder Blade served on a bed of mashed potatoes. The pork was slightly tough but flavours were on point and the mash was extremely creamy and rich. Pretty good
Really unique and tasty dish but it was indeed on the saltier side. Still quite satisfied overall when paired with the seaweed chips, which cuts the saltiness, but the flavours were definitely there!
Really worth dinner tonight at Porta sg using burpple beyond 1 for 1. $60++ for 2 appetisers, 2 mains and 2 desserts. A+ for the excellent service and changing our utensils diligently after every course. We were quite surprised that we were served with 2 bread rolls as starters. Looks like regular bread but they were served warm and pillowy soft, which makes them especially good.
Here we have our first appetiser. 4 pieces of decently sized prawns with 2 types of sauces, guacamole and romesco, served with corn chips. One was on the heavier side while the other was lighter which makes a perfect balance as a whole dish. Not a bad start to the meal!
