Second time patronizing this small unassuming restaurant nested among the HDB blocks, prices are affordable and food is delicious.
The truffle burger contained a beef patty and mushrooms doused in truffle oil so I could really smell and taste it. Fries was crispy and in a generous portion. Ribeye (medium) was heaven with every bite... so soft! Their mac & cheese is the bombz for cheese lovers, you have to order this when you are there!
Utilized BB 1 for 1 so it was $19.50 in total. No GST and svc charge, and there is complimentary water as well. Do note that for BB, only 1 dish can be a steak dish (either ribeye or sirloin) and the other dish has to be either chicken/pork/fish or pasta/burger.
Meltique Sirloin Steak, Panini Bread, Cheddar Cheese, Bell Pepper, Onion, Garlic Aioli, Butter, coleslaw, spiced fries- first few bites were not bad but bread was a bit too dry. Spiced fries was great though!
Book a 50% discount slot on Eatigo so it was $12 (GST and svc charge not included yet).
White fillet fish, coleslaw, mushy peas (hidden under the fish), spiced fries- a classic plate of fish & chips, nothing stands out.
Booked a 50% discount slot on Eatigo so it was $12.50 (GST & svc charge not included yet). Lovely place to chill though!
Lovely unassuming restaurant serving delicious steak! We were recommended the steak and it did not disappoint- tender, and went very well with the red wine reduction. Savored every bite hahaha. Nothing too special about the truffle fries ($10), but was good nevertheless.
We came at 2pm on Saturday and there were no other groups around, feels like we rented the place! Cozy hangout place for families, groups of friends, couples as they serve both mains and bar bites, and have games available too. Will come back again!
This is on BB so we had 1 for 1 for the steak and paid full price for the fries. Total: $39.60 for 2 pax.
Headed there for dinner but it is definitely more suited for drinks instead as there are only 8 mains (or large plates as they called it) available and when it gets dark, you can’t see your food much if you are seated near the sides (lighting is minimal and shine on the area near the bar instead).
The food took a pretty long time to come and when the steak reached me, I was slightly disappointed to know that it wasn’t hot/warm. Portion was big though!
Food took a while to come despite the restaurant being very empty. Quiet ambience, and the beef burger was great! Beef patty was thick and juicy, goes well with the caramelized onions.
Bought spicy chicken carbonara ($18) as well (shown in next review) and bill came up to be $19.80 after utilizing BB 1 for 1 - very worth for a restaurant at Robertson Quay~ Will come back.
P/S: BB only applies to Main Dish & Pasta selection.
Pan seared salmon was yummy with the lemon & cream cheese filling. Love the turkish couscous and sous vide egg - they go well together!
Yummy fried onions, hash-browns and roquette! Ordered medium for my beef but it wasn’t medium throughout the meat - some were medium well/medium rare... perhaps too thick? Didn’t fancy the yellow mustard-ish sauce, didn’t pair well with the beef imo.
Gave in to temptation and ordered the yummy fragrant truffle fries for $11 nett. Ahhh I love fries! A bit pricey but that’s the price everywhere I guess?
Yummy, love the halloumi cheese! Could be more generous with the sautéed mushrooms and ham. However, original price is $25, so its not very worth w/o the BB 1 for 1.
We chose medium for both the ribeye and sirloin but they turned out to be medium well instead. Other than that, the ambience was not bad and complimentary bread was yummy. $70 for 2 pax in total.
