Had a couple of dishes and what struck me was their authentic si chuan flavour!
The si ji dou were the best in my opinion, we also ordered the shui zhu yu but the fish tasted pretty stale. :/
I am so hungry right now! This would probably be the best mala xiang guo in the west region. They use japanese short grain rice which is awesome! I like to get 多麻 here as I feel that it boosts the taste of the entire dish. Be careful to count the more expensive things you choose like prawns and fish though! That time I placed 5 prawns in my bowl but only 3 were present on the final dish that arrived.....

People say that its the best mala xiang guo in SG but I found it overrated. I asked to add more peppercorn though and it turned out really numbing and kinda destroyed the flavour. I should probably give it a second chance though.
Loved the food, but found it a tad overpriced because i wasn’t yet on Beyond. Will go back now because of the 1-for-1! :-)
Fried with peppercorn and topped with fragrant dried chilli, the chicken ($14) was super aromatic and crispy. We got the hotplate pig intestines ($14) as well. It was so tender and paired really well with the salted veggies. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area and choose al fresco dining because your hair might smell if you sit on the inside!
