One of the more affordable places serving up tendons in Singapore. What I really love about this place is that the ingredients are still fresh and good quality despite its pricing. The prawns were big and quite juicy, and fish portion was big too. Now I know why there’s always a crazy long queue!
Delicious maki rolls and other interesting dishes. I always enjoy having a good meal at itacho!
The al dente noodles were infused with a good amount of truffle flavour, while the sous vide egg on top gave the dish a rounder and creamier feel.
The girls and I coordinated our off days to visit gyu kaku for their lunch sets. And this... reminded me of why I can never be a vegetarian. 😂 even though we didn’t get the wagyu cuts, the regular beef set was already bursting with beefy, fatty flavour. The karubi was especially well marbled throughout and melted as I chewed it, while the other cut had more of a bite. The sizzle of each slice of beef as it touched the grill was music to my ears, a joy to hear.

Was having a really bad craving for ramen that day so I went out from my cave and made a trip to Bugis for ramen Keisuke four Seasons. The thick and creamy tonkontsu broth was well worth the journey. I had the autumn bowl which came with a dollop of minced meat that added more flavour to the soup. We thankfully arrived at around 5pm, when the store was moderately crowded. We left at 6pm only to see a Long queue of hungry diners waiting outside!
Even though we waited about 45 minutes to get a seat, the food was definitely well worth the wait! The salad bar filled our hungry bellies first while we waited for the grilled fish. A must try is their coffee jelly with milk sauce from the salad bar. So addictive and we couldn’t stop having more!

One of my favourites was the basil cheese salmon nigiri. The basil added a nice herbal tinge to the creamy cheese and salmon. They also have a good mix of cooked and raw food, so your friends who don’t enjoy sashimi can have their share of sushi to enjoy too!

Lamb was seasoned well and easy to chew without the overpowering lamb smell. The grilled meat was savoury and sweet, hitting all the right spots. 100% worth it if you get your burpple beyond 1 for 1 deals here!

The first bite of their soft, fluffy omu sent me straight to heaven. Demiglace sauce was also skillfully done and not too salty unlike many other omurice shops out there. Rice is fried with ketchup. Their beef slices were soft and absolutely flavourful to chew on. 100% will come back for seconds! :p

Just happened to stumble upon this place at random but golly, this was such an amazing value for money find! We had the Mentaiko chirashi, which had fresh seafood and umami Mentaiko sauce slathered all over it. The sides were equally impressive, with the miso soup filled with ingredients including mushroom and seaweed. Mentaiko tamago was a sweet addition to the set. Thumbs up!

Sukiyaki broth was on the saltier side but went perfectly well with the white short grained rice. Comes with salad bar sides like kimchi, potato salad, and cabbage.
