Snagged this via HSBC Entertainer 1-for-1 and it was such a surprisingly good find?? Did not expect how addictive and actual intensity of flavour for the creamy truffle fries, although sour cream & onion was a little lacklustre in comparison. Popcorn chicken and fries were both so so crispy and hot and toasty and they definitely did not scrimp on the seasoning š¤¤š¤¤ So so satisfying as an afternoon snack and something I might actually crave for š½š½
Havenāt had cold stone in ages so we jumped at this deal once we realised it was on entertainer šš Personally preferred the mudpie mojo, simply for the combination of coffee ice cream and peanut butter! And the roasted almonds, fudge and Oreo cookie was a good addition though! But admitted the bfās favourite Oreo Overload was really good too, saved by the simple yet amazing sweet cream ice cream though with boring toppings (jokes they were great). Pretty small cup for $10.50 but definitely super worth it with the 1-for-1 deal šš
Pretty decent burger though nothing much to shout about. Though it looks slightly dry, the beef patty was pretty juicy but could have used more support from the scanty caramalized onions and sautĆ©ed mushrooms, and the truffle aioli sauce and smoked cheddar cheese didnāt do much to help with the overall lack of moisture. But what deserves a shoutout is the great service and nice atmosphere! The waitress allowed us to change the Parmesan fries to sweet potato fries, and even gave us complimentary orange juice while waiting (cause the food takes 30 min sobz) Great place for a nice lunch/dinner, but skip the meats sandwiches and whatnots, and dive straight into their pastas cause boy do they do them well!!
A wet version of aglio olio that turned out really well?? Linguine was done al dente with 3 whole tiger prawns and 3 Japanese scallops, but the main MVP was the prawn bisque sauce that was oh so glorious š¤¤š¤¤ The umami flavour of the sauce is truly not describable with words, so go try it for yourself with Entertainerās 1-for-1!
Y.U.M.M.Y!!! Linguine was cooked just right and well coated in a fusion tomato and chili sauce, and just drowned extremely generously with jumbo and lump crabmeat (like literally chunks of crabmeat with every bite of pasta). Interesting dish that is also well executed and super worth it with Entertainerās 1-for-1! š¤¤š¤¤
Delish delish delish!! šš They were generous with their wild mushroom mix and portobello confit, and the mushrooms were hugeee! The cream-based sauce tied everything together in perfect harmony, and loved the elegant finish of sliced truffles and Parmesan cheese. Definitely a must try and such a steal with Entertainerās 1-for-1 (why does Burpple limit it to non pastas ā¹ļøā¹ļø)
Delicious delicious delicious!! And so worth it with entertainerās 1-for-1! Cafe was empty on a weekday lunch so ambience was šÆšÆ The Assembly Brunch was a well done aesthetic ultimate brunch platter - scrambled eggs were gooey, chicken bratwurst sausage was thick and well grilled, sautĆ©ed mushrooms and potato gratin complemented the dish well, with a healthy side of salad greens and cherry tomatoes, topped off with smoked salmon and a slice of toasted brioche bread (and this deserve a shoutout for its softness and the joy it brings!!). Laksa pasta was also surprisingly good?? Linguine was done al dente and coated with creamy laksa sauce with the usual laksa ingredients, topped off with a beautiful deep fried soft shell crab that remained crispy throughout most the meal until we used it to wipe up all the sauce š¤¤š¤¤
Super super worth it with entertainerās 1-for-1! Plus fave pay gets an 8% cashback that gives me $2 off desserts šš Truffle pizza was comparable to the amazing one at La Nonna but slightly more thin crusted and less truffle-y, but very generous with the mushrooms that went well with the thick layer of gooey cheese and runny egg šš The Assembly Burger is definitely a good burger, but would not pay full price for it as nothing extremely special. The beef patty was juicy and thick and wrapped in nice vintage cheddar cheese, bacon strips were crispy and the buns deserve a shout-out for their perfect toastedness! Came with a side of vinaigrette salad and crispy fries š¤¤š¤¤ Overall, great ambience, great food, great location šÆšÆ
Didnāt know it was an Italian fine dining place so we literally walked in in slobby clothes š¤š¤ Great great service and absolutely worth with Entertainerās 1-for-1! Your meal starts with a lovely basket of assorted bread to pair with a parsley cream dip and olive oil with vinaigrette (prolly my favourite part of any meal) šš The top pasta is the homemade squid ink taglierini pasta in extremely tomatoey sauce, with generous servings of Boston lobsters and cherry tomatoes. The bottom pasta is a wet version of an aglio olio, chocked full of smoked haddock bits and roasted capsicum, but with only 2 pieces of grilled Hokkaido scallops. Hard to say which was better cause my bf likes the tomato lobster one while I like the fish aglio olio one? š¤š¤ Either way both dishes were great and definitely very value with the deal, plus the šÆ ambience and šÆ service, plus the complimentary cookies and chocolate truffles for the cherry on top of a great meal šš»šš»
Good lunch!! Favourite dishes has got to be the truffle pasta, topped generously with homemade Italian sausage doused in creamy truffley goodness, and the Al Borgo pizza, which comes half folded with mozzarella cheese and the other half a good thin crust pizza topped with assorted vegetables and prawn. The squid ink risotto was pretty decent and generous in seafood, but the sauce for the capellini was too thin to coat the pasta well. But overall food was still delicious and worth it with entertainerās 1-for-1! (But they charge GST for the free dishes which is a bit š¤š¤)
Thank you entertainer for having 1-for-1 on the desserts too! The earl grey tea cake may look like any plain Jane slice of cake, but is crumbly and exploding with earl grey flavour. A good example of simplicity done well. Chocolate truffle cake didnāt waste any time on the usual sponges nonsense and was thick layers of dense chocolate fudge interspersed with moist thin layers of sponge cake. Such a good end to the meal šš
Food was good though portions were small. Wouldnāt pay $20 for this without the entertainer 1-for-1. But if not, the ambience and service is really nice and quaint! Food is simple and done pretty decent, but nothing super special. Would go back to try their burgers, which look really good! Good coffee too!
