Dim Sum feast over the CNY PH at @timhowan_sg !
Ordered the following items:
-Baked BBQ Pork Bun ($8++ for 3 pieces): This is a MUST order! Never get sick of it!
-BBQ pork Rice rolls ($7++): Super silky smooth! I love this!
-Shredded Chicken Spring Roll ($6++): Ordered this to try as pretty special. But hmm, I dont think it is something I will want to order again unless there is no other fried dim sum item I crave
-Pan Fried Radish Cake ($6++): I belong to the group which prefers even more fried carrot cake than just pan fried
-Chicken Cordycep Flower Rice ($8++): This is one of my top favourite item to get too if I want to get something full! Always request for MORE sauce! love the tender soft chicken meat!
-Hong Kong Style Egg Tart ($5.30++ for 2 pieces): Cookie crust egg tarts!
-Pork Congee with century egg ($8++): Pretty normal. Not something that I will want to order again. I am also not those who will want to order congee when eating dim sum
-Pork dumplings in Hot and Spicy sauce with Noodles ($10.30++): This is a NOPE for me! Didnt really like the hot and sour sauce. Too soury! Rather just get the hong you chao shou without noodles
Quench your thirst with @cococane !
Coconut water + sugarcane = Cococane! The combination of coconut water + sugarcane juice was pretty unique, the first in Singapore!
Their drinks are made from fresh coconut water and fresh sugarcane juice. 100% natural, no sugar and no preservatives are added! Their sugarcanes are harvested daily to ensure freshness! 💦
Here is what I tried:
💫Lychee Sugar Cane ($3.10)
💫Mango Cococane ($4.40)
💫Mango Coconut Avocado ($7)
💫Cococane bottled ($4.30)
💫Sugarcane bottled ($2.50)
I love all the drinks above, very thirst quenching! 👍🏻
For the bottled drinks, they will be packed with no ice so you wont get diluted drinks. Do note that the bottled drinks must be consumed within 24 hours!
Japanese Asian Fusion Donburis from @fukudonsg ! They have many pretty interesting donburis choices that have an interesting asian twist to it!
Wagyu Onigiri don ($15.90): This consists of a soy marinated wagyu flank steak (150g portion given), with pickled cucumber and ajitsuke tamago. The wagyu was very tender and also very flavourful!
Satay Pork Collar Onigiri Don ($7.90): V local unique! Satay marinated pork collar with homemade achar, onsen egg and crispy golden egg floss! I LOVE it!
Spicy Pork Collar Don ($6.90): This donburi comes with spicy marinated pork collar, onsen egg and furikake! Be warned, it is QUITE spicy!
Asian Garlic Puree Salmon Onigiri Don ($7.90): salmon fillet, unique tomato salad (which includes fresh orange pulps!), ajitsuke tamago, and the special garlic homemade puree! I love this homemade garlic concoction! Whole garlic pieces are also visible! I highly recommend this!
Shoyu Glazed Salmon Don ($7.50): If you are not a garlic fan, opt for this! The salmon fillet came with a shoyu lemon glaze, tomato salad and an onsen egg!
Green Field Salad ($3.90): To accompany your meal, do check out this very interesting salad too! It comes with romaine lettuce, green apple, japanese cucumber umami dressing, and candied pumpkin seeds! A very appetising side dish to start off the meal!
Homemade Potato Salad ($2.50): This potato salad was so smooth and creamy! The mashed potato comes with japanese cucumber, carrot and white onions too, and topped with furikake! Cant help reaching out for more!
Crunchy Fries ($4): Shout-out for the fries, they were really crunchy, crispy and addictive!! A side of homemade curry sauce is given, and I thought it tasted pretty similar to macdonald’s curry sauce!
The bowls are pretty affordable, with most items below $8, and the portions are very generous!
Do check them out! They have two outlets:660A Edgedale Plains; and 84 Marine Parade Central!
First time trying the spam rice balls ($8+)! Anything is nice with Japanese rice. But just the ingredients in it were only spam, seaweed, carrot and green onion. (On the other hand, massizim's rice ball has more variety such as crabmeat etc) the other must order food here is the soya wings ($12+ for 4 wings)! The buangkok outlet doesn't charge service charge! 👍🏻 #burpple #burpplesg #eatigo #eatigosg #chickenup #spam #spamriceballs #riceballs #soyawings #soyachickenwings #chockenwings #chickenupsg #food #foodiesg #sgfoodie #whati8today #8dayseat #vscofoodie #iweeklyfood #foodporn #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #sgmakan #sgmakandiary #sgfoodstagram #singaporeeats #exploresingaporeeats #exploresg #whatsgoodhere #sgfoodie
finally tried it at the punggol waterway outlet. The chicken with prawn cake pho ($10.80++) is as good as nam nam! I like that the chicken comes in big chunks, with prawn/fish cakes which you don't usually see in pho. Although the soup isn't as pepper as nam nam's (which I'm so used to), the addition of the red chilli padi did spice things up. Didn't try much of bf's fried pho w chicken ($10.80++) though as I'm trying my best to stay away from fried food for this week haha. #burpple #burpplesg #sopho
Thankfully it had one of the shorter queues at punggol waterway point (punggol meal time queues are just scary....). Instead of the usual fried you tiao or fried ngor hiang which we usually get as sides at Bak kut teh restaurants, we opted for the steamed tofu with minced meat this time round! Bak kuk teh soup tastes as peppery as song fa's. The pork slices was not bad, but we thought songfa gave much more meat and fish slices. The fish slices also had a fishy smell and comes with fish skin (which I dislike).. conclusion: song fa is still my preferred Bak kuk teh place! #burpple #burpplesg #punggolwaterwaypoint
