Bakery & Patisserie 🥖🍞🍰
It’s a really decadent chocolate tart made of dark chocolate tart shell filled with 70% dark chocolate mousse and Calamansi gel. Not sweet and well balance sourness from the Calamansi goes perfectly with the mousse. RM40 per serving.
A very light version of millefeuille with paper thin filo pastry layered between caramelised banana & spices, bitter coffee ganache and crème pâtisserie served with burnt butter ice cream and crumbs. It’s been one of the best version I’ve tasted in town and that ganache is made with local Semai chocolate. Totally worth the calories. RM38 per portion.
One of my favourite place for fresh loaf. The sourdough here is undeniable one of the best in town. But the apple sourdough gives you that equal amount of chunky apple bits ratio to the fluffy fermented bread. A bit of sweet and sour every mouth full. RM13 per loaf.
A very dense yet moist cake. Every mouthful you taste the layers of pistachios butter cake and pistachio butter with thin layer of butter cream on the outer layer. RM16.90 per slice.
Crispy fluffy croissants using French butter and Japanese flour. I personally like the ones with filling like Black Sesame croissant(RM6.90) and Apple Croissant (RM8.90). The non-fillings ones like Garlic Croissant(RM6.80) and Hazelnut Macron Croissant(RM8.50) are quite good too. Cod Roe croissant (RM7.30) is quite disappointing.
Fresh passionfruit pulp and passionfruit gel covered with ginger ganache montée in a chocolate shell. I love the sweetness from the chocolate paired well the the ginger ganache. RM23 per serving.
Lisette’s baked cheesecake is dense, less sweet and the dark cookie based crumb goes well with the cake. RM15 per slice.
While everyone is faddish over their iconic fruit dessert, I found the it gateau here. The Sweet Pleasure definitely gives you pleasure every mouthful. Hazelnut dacquoise topped with hazelnut praline, Guanaja Valrhona Chocolate mousse and chocolate ganache. I love the croustillant in this patisserie that gives you that crunchy bites you find in your Ferrero Rocher. RM18 per slice.
Checking out the new baby on shelf, Strawberry. The strawberry ganache montée with strawberry gel, fresh strawberry cube and basils encased in a chocolate shell is light and less sweet. Wished there is a strong presence of strawberry flavour. RM23 per piece.
New little choux pastries from Decadent. Available in 6 flavours: Vanilla, Lemon Chutney, Coffee, Chestnut, Matcha & Raspberry and Dark Chocolate. I personally love the Lemon Chutney as well as Matcha & Raspberries. RM4 per piece, RM15 for 4 pieces.
Inspired by the boulangeries in France, this little boulangerie cum café has garnered many interest of quality bread lovers. From freshly baked baguettes, multigrain roll, country white, croissants, pain au jambon to sweet bake goods like Blueberry Danish, Cranberry Walnut bun, Financiers , Madeleines, Canalés and many more with local infused elements. They event write their price tags in French. What catches my attention is their Pandan Baguette. Never on earth I would like this sweet soft version filled with desiccated coconut and toffee sauce. So good that it keeps me wanting more the next day. RM10 per loaf.
